The course offers a variety of challenging holes with unique features such as elevation changes and narrow fairways. I don't usually read reviews for golf courses that I've never played. Usually it's from people that have had a wedding there or beginner golfers who don't know what they're talking about. The reviews for this course were mixed at best mostly complaints about the sand traps being rough in the greens being covered by ball marks. This couldn't be further from the truth; this is one outstanding, well run, well kept golf course in Saugatuck. Midweek rate $68 over 60 years old $40 I would have paid twice that much. Beautiful well kept bunkers, conditions were beautiful greens that had interesting un…

Awesome public course. Haven't played the back, but the front 9 is a ton of fun. The conditions were immaculate and I really appreciated how they made each hole have a unique feel. Sometimes it's a narrow corridor off the tee, other times it's a blind approach shots up a steep hill. The soft greens were so receptive to approach shots, and the fairways were in great condition. The course goes back and forth over this creek which makes you think. The 9th hole is a beautiful, long par 3. Also, the people were so nice. Props to the staff. I've been back twice in a few days, and I imagine I'll b…

First time playing the course. Overall the course was in good shape. There are some issues with very sparse grass growing on parts of fairways and tee boxes. Sand traps were terrible, according to thise i played with, as i was never in one, but from what i saw, they were not really "sand" traps and more like dirt and rock traps. Greens were in great shape and were fast

Great course a few of the holes include a blind shot and precision. Greens are in great shape. Bar and Grill are great. We never saw a beverage cart while we played. Driving range limited to irons. Pace of play was great.

Course was in great shape unfortunately it took 1.5 hours to play 5 holes I left after that need to have a ranger or someone out there helping with pace of play

We had a group of 20 ladies play over the weekend visiting from the East side of the State. We were all in agreement, Clearbrook was definitely lacking the description on their website, and was not worth a weekend rate of $78. The course has a nice layout, but the fairways were really rugged and rustic, brown spots and lots of bare areas. Sand traps were full of stones. I work at a golf course, and I know the weather this summer, in Michigan, has not been kind to many of them. Greens were ok. It appears Clearbrook is lacking some TLC. At best $50 for a weekend rate would be more appropriate. W…

Course is in fairly good shape. Greens are true. Staff is very friendly. The biggest downside is the traps. To call them sand traps is a misnomer. There is no sand whatsoever. You can’t blast out as all there is in the traps is hard pan. They need remediation in the worst possible way.

Customers/golfers were rude and very inpatient. Cant get mad if it’s a public golf course and we’re trying to enjoy a Friday afternoon. Staff was amazing, nothing wrong with the employees or golf course. But some locals need to learn patience and respect. Thanks!😁
