In summary

Clifton Highlands Golf Course is widely praised for its well-maintained grounds, challenging and scenic layout, and accommodating staff. The course offers a variety of holes that cater to different skill levels, with fast and tricky greens that require strategic play. Many visitors appreciate the clubhouse amenities, including a full bar and a diverse food menu, with the pulled pork sandwich receiving particular acclaim. While the course is generally forgiving, some players note the need for local knowledge to navigate its tight fairways and doglegs effectively.

A nice golf course with tricky greens. The conditions were good and the layout used the land well. I loved a lot of holes. Very nice clubhouse and hospitality.

Excellent course located just over 30 minutes from the Twin Cities. Great mix of tight fairways and fun doglegs. Playing in fairly windy conditions provided a tough challenge on some holes but recently cleared out trees allowed for some forgiveness if you miss the fairway. Awesome par 3s with pure greens. Just make sure you keep it below the pin on the approach and you’ll have a great time! The food options were incredible! The chicken sandwich and the pulled pork are both great choices.

This is one of the funniest tracks around the area. It’s always challenging, addictive and the Wisconsin bluffs setting is gorgeous. Fairways are near perfect. Greens when at their best are slick and you better have your A-game! Starting with Ken the manager expertly managing people and the schedule, Curt always welcoming and Billy the chef knows what he’s doing in the kitchen. He smoked some pork for sandwiches that were the best I’ve ever had! I had the treat of playing 18 with Billy. He’s got game! While Troy Burne GC has always been my all time favorite Clifton Highlands is a gem not to mi…

Great course at a great price. It is quite hard with all the mature trees absolutely everywhere, well placed bunkers, dog legs, and long par 3's. Hit the ball straight and you will play well, the greens and fairways were well kept with very long rough. The last 5 holes are definitely make or break with protruding trees and tough turns. Had a great experience here and the course played at a good pace.

Clifton Highlands, located 35 minutes southeast of St. Paul has a challenge for every golfer and has a wide variety of tee boxes to suit everyone. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were pure (Leaving the ball below the hole is very important). Every hole is different, with the back 9 being my favorite with trouble and scoring opportunities after each corner. Playing the 16th scenic tee box is a must. All the employees in the clubhouse were very friendly and resourceful before our round. In the restaurant they provide a great atmosphere with a full bar and brand new food menu. You can’t beat…

Played this course today and was impressed from start to finish! Has many challenges for all skill levels and if you think your putter is on its A game, this course might be the one to put that putter to work. You might think you’re on a miniature golf course at times from complete shock at watching your ball roll back at you. Tip: keep your approach shots below the hole and you’re halfway to a successful round. Can’t wait to play it again soon!!

Fun course with challenging fairways. Lots of trees to ruin your momentum off the drive but easy to shoot good if your ball flight is straight. Cornfields surrounding the course as well!

Abosulte beauty of a course. It's in great condition. Greens are tough, but fair. Awesome staff and just an enjoyable round of golf.

I really enjoyed this course. There are a handful of tight fairways and a few small greens. The greens were playing very fast today and they have a lot of undulations. I didn't have very many straight putts. Local knowledge is definitely needed if you are going to score well, as there are a ton of dogleg and if you knew where you could cut corners would help the score card. If you get off the fairway and into the rough you will most likely be battling trees the rest of ghe way to the pin. Fun course layout. Getting to the driving range is tricky, you have to go do in front of hole 1 tee box. S…

Just took my son out for his 1st official round of golf ever and we had a great time. Fun and forgiving course. Staff in the pro shop, drink cart and bar were fantastic. Can’t wait to tryout their par 3 course in the future.
