In summary

Clyde River Golf & Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, scenic views, and reasonable pricing, offering a fun and challenging experience for golfers of various skill levels. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, including greens and bunkers needing attention, as well as navigation challenges due to insufficient signage. While the course has potential, improvements in amenities and upkeep could enhance the overall experience.

Visited the island for a week, they were able to get me on the course for 18. Price was decent, a bit expensive in the shirt(not upset) pro shop could have a bit more stuff in it, good drink selection. Staff was beyond friendly and happy to help in anyway, course was awesome, first time hitting a par 5 on hole 1. Would absolutely recommend people to play here!!!! Plus the crows mocking you when you have a bad shot was quite funny!!!

A couple times we got lost, green gets watered in the morning making for a challenge. No beverage cart which is fine.couple tee boxes missing a couple bunkers need filled. A 6' sink hole is impossible to get out of Overall I enjoyed my time and much more reasonably priced than a couple of the higher end courses in the area. Would recommend to new to average players

Very disappointed to say the least!! Course is in great state of disrepair. Not a very good layout. On most holes the green is not visible from the tee… you are shooting blind on second shots on the par 5sand some par 4s.The 9th hole is no where near the clubhouse. We only played 9 and drove back to the clubhouse past groups ahead of us. Very overpriced… we paid $65 with cart for 9 holes. Would not recommend this course.

Very disappointed. As soon as you start the game, you will get lost, feel like play in a maze. Poor maintained course. Wouldn’t come back and not recommend for any level of golf player.

We played at this course with real high expectations based on the descriptions in their web site. I know, I know. The course is poorly maintained, weeds are wide spread in the fairway. The staff in the pro shop worked real hard to cover multiple areas, like being cashier, starter and managing the shop and managed to keep smiling. However everything was ruined by the guy who drove an extremely loud grass cutting tractor. He parked his tractor five yards next to us while we were on the tee box, then raced ahead of us and stationed right in front of our line of sight. After four times of such sim…

Best value on the island. Been visiting PEI for the last 20 years. Played numerous courses, but Clyde River provided the best fun yet challenging day I can remember. Well worth the drive from the North Shore. Fairways and greens in great shape and pace of play was perfect. Will be back next season and definitely keep this one in the rotation.

Could be another Island gem if the owners wanted to spend a bit of money. Very friendly and hospitable. The course itself could be sooo much more than it is. Beautiful natural terrain but lacking in the other little things like better tee boxes, better hole signs, cart paths and direction to next hole signs( there are several you have no idea?) Rates were very fair for what you get on the island- which on the whole is a bit over priced these days! Thank goodness for value cards from GolfPEI.

The fairways are all dugged up from skunks, bunkers are solid not loose, the greens are always full of little sticks/leafs “trying putt is brutal.. Isn’t a halfway house to stop for snacks or a refreshments.. “no cart girl also”. While we paid for our round of golf a lady came in complaining her golf cart had no power that she was miles behind her friends in there golf cart, we got ours same issue gutless golf cart we couldn’t even make it up hills going onto hole 3 and constantly trying to keep up to our friends.. Holes are close to one another, couple holes we played another group was hittin…

We are from the great state of Idaho in the US. We decided to play a practice round here before heading over to the Crowbush Links. The young man at check in fir Clyde river golf course was extremely friendly. However the course needs a lot of attention, especially the greens. This was not worth the $60 we each paid for 18 and a cart. The greens were so mushy and uneven. You step and the ground moves under your foot. There needs to be more signage showing which way to drive to the next Tee box. We got lost a couple of times. The grass on fairways was uneven and tall but distinguishing between…

Pricing was fair for the quality of golf you received. However, there are simple things that could be improved that would make the experience more enjoyable. Having the tee boxes cut to an appropriate length. There was no blue tees present even with the yardage posted. And several holes did not have a stake posted for the 150 making determining yardage difficult. Several tee boxes also were no where near their posted yardage. Course has good potential just needs the finer details taken care of.

Recommended. Clyde River is a wonderful golf course. I disagree with a number of negative comments made. We played the course after a day of torrential rain. Not surprisingly, it was a bit damp in some places, but the course was in excellent condition. The course is well maintained, forgiving, wide open fairways, and is suitable for all levels of golfers. We are bogey golfers (at best !)At a $60 green fee (with cart) it is not Pebble Beach, but it is a great course. The only flaw (or needing TLC) were the sand traps - which were overgrown and absent of sand - but you’re not supposed to put you…
