In summary

Cottonwood Coulee Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful setting, making it a popular choice for both golfing and events. Visitors appreciate the challenging layout and the variety of amenities, including a clubhouse with good food and a welcoming atmosphere. While most experiences are positive, some guests have noted issues such as the condition of golf carts, worn-out range balls, and occasional concerns with pace of play or campsite maintenance.

Really enjoyed my round at this course! The fairways are in great shape and the greens are smooth and responsive. The staff were friendly and the pace of play was reasonable. The clubhouse food and drink selection was solid too. The only minor thing: the carts could use a little maintenance, and some of the tee markers are a bit faded. All in all, a fantastic venue for a repeat tee time.

We can’t say enough great things about Mac, Jenny and all the crew down at Cottonwood Coulee! We have been hosting our adaptive golf sessions there for the last few years and they are so excited for our golfers with disabilities to be there! They are truly just good down to earth folks who want people of all abilities to come enjoy their course and the services it has to offer. We’ve always felt so welcome there and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get out, enjoy some golf and the beautiful scenery it has to offer! Oh and there puffed wheat squares are the best! :)

Don’t be fooled. This Executive Course will challenge and delight. From the music when you pick up your cart, to the Pro Sop staff, to the beautifully groomed course, to the cooks, servers and delicious food you won’t be disappointed.

Playing July 25th, the course was in excellent condition. The woman working in the pro shop was friendly and helpful in getting my wife and me set up to start our round, which we played in 3.5 hours. The only issue to mention may have been the tee boxes being difficult to find a level stance.

Hosted a family birthday party at Cottonwood Coulee. Cannot say enough good things about the treatment we received. Every member of the team working there went above and beyond in making the afternoon/evening/night party a success. The outdoor space is well set up. As many tables as you would need, bar set up had everything and having indoor washroom facility so close made many people happy. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone. Kudos to great friendly personable service that seems harder to find nowadays. 5 stars isn’t even enough.

This is a campground for golfers, not so much family, but it is well maintained, clean, free showers, lots of trees for shade, and the golf course is beautiful! There is a driving range, putting green, group bonfire area with tables and canteen, and the older trees are gorgeous with fragrant flowers all over the campground. Close to the #1 highway in and out of the city. Highly recommend it!

4 stars because I didn’t play golf BUT… we went there for dinner and chatted with Mase (Mason??) from the pro shop. I asked how much a bucket of balls was and he immediately offered me a complimentary bucket!!! Very friendly staff, great location and from what I could see from the clubhouse, a very nice course! We would like to play there some day.

We enjoyed it but found it was too short for us from the white tee boxes. Would definitely go to the farther tees if we come back again to make it play longer. Got a discount online which was great when I booked it. Staff was very friendly. Thank you for a great day.

Played June 13 and the course was in great shape. Greens were awesome! Teed off at 8am and played in 3 hours (3-some on the front, 2-some on the back, w/carts). Great day!

Awesome down to earth golf course, lots of wild life and cool views. Really awesome staff. Best course in Medicine hat, especially for the price!

On a hot spring day we came to cottonwood. Not only was the teenage staff incredibly rude but they had the drink cart girl come out and tell us they were getting complaints that we're too slow. We never saw anyone behind us waiting. So that kind of ruined our game. But the real kicker is that staff came out AGAIN on the second to last hole to tell us to speed it up. It took us two hours to do nine holes with four players. That seems pretty normal to me
