The course layout is considered challenging yet approachable, with well-maintained greens and a convenient driving range. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, such as sparse fairways and slow pace of play, particularly on weekends. A Hidden Gem for Families and Golfers of All Ages – Cranbury Golf Club, West Windsor, NJ I had the pleasure of playing Cranbury Golf Club yesterday with my two teenage sons, and I have to say—it was one of the most refreshing and enjoyable golf outings we’ve had in a long time. We teed off around 4 PM after warming up for about 30 minutes on their well-maintained driving range, which offers both grass and mat hitting areas. The facility was buzzing, but not crowded, and the vibe was laid-back and welcoming. Dan, the staff member on site, was incredibly friendly and accommodating—he set the t…

A very good public golf course. The greens are challenging and bunkers are amazing. It is a very popular golf course in Central Jersey. It would be great to have food/drinks cart service. We did not see any. The only way was to pause, go to restaurant for refreshments. I will go there again though.

2nd time playing here. The golf course is in great shape for April, a little more growth and it will be perfect. They need to put some 150 markers in, didnt see 1 all day. No ball washers either. Sloped greens, good clubhouse and good snacks and beverages. Try this place you will like it.

First time playing there today. Staff was friendly and course was looking pretty good. Some of the fairways were burnt out and mostly dirt but the greens were in good shape and rolled pretty consistently throughout the course. Pace of play was slower. It took over five hours for our round but it’s a weekend so that can be expected. Rangers were all over us to play faster but we still had to wait at the next tee box even when picking up balls after bad shots. Therefore I don’t feel like it was an issue with our pace…they cram in too many tee times. I see this at many other courses too. Tee time…

Ehh short course but pace of play was 4.5 hrs n thats nuts. The range is a joke no tees just mats like what? Greens were like 8.5 speed. The grass was nice and healthy. They need to just cut all the dead trees down and then some.

Totally neglected as far as course maintenance. Many many fairways have large areas where there is no grass at all. Most bunkers are not only not raked but some have grass growing in them ! It would appear that management has given up on the idea of having a nice course. I haven’t played here in a year but I’ll never play here again.

We had a tee time at 11:54. We did not tee off till after noon , and the course was a parking lot. Pace of play was 5 hours and 10 minutes. Painful!! There were course rangers out but they did not help. Tee boxes are beat up, fairways are sparse and areas around the green are burnt out. The bar and restaurant were closed at 5:15 …Play somewhere else or stay home.

Pace of play on the weekends is slow here 99% of the time. Greens have a lot of breaks and ridges and for some reason they put the holes on the ridges so its impossible to make a putt and contributes to the slow pace of play because its hard to get the speed on a put that's on a ridge, which results in many 3 putts. if course management sees this please take this into consideration when cutting holes for the weekends. Also probably good for business if players are playing better and quicker. Otherwise this course is in good shape.

Original angry review in quotes below: I had a bad experience and left an angry review. Adam Lyon not only responded so fast I thought it was automated, he meant me on the course at the second hole and explained that they outsource booking though GolfNow and that he was upset at how they represented him. He explained the course was recently hit with a disease and that he had plans to restore everything, made sure I got the refund on the 2 carts (as we did all walk and didn’t bother bringing it to anyone’s attention when we checked in) and made amends as best as he could. The course is definite…

With all due respect to the people who are working there they were really great ... the course itself was a disaster ... 60.oo dollars plus with cart for a 30.oo track is a little crazy ... the holes actually are pretty good !!! But the condition were absolutely brutal !!! The greens were rolling at a 5 ... the fairways weren't cut ... if they had grass on them I mean ... I played this place 2 3 years ago and that's why I went back ... I'm not being a mean guy here but I dropped 60 bux and really the course needs to be taken care of ... if you read this and go you will have wished you went som…

Staff has always been welcoming and kind. They have a driving range with 3 different size buckets and the course is challenging yet approachable. This course demands you play golf, not just bomb driver every holes. Feels like every single green is surrounded by sand bunkers, and their is a dog leg on just about every hole. Very walkable and fun. "the big" restaurant/bar is also pretty legit and worth checking out after your round if you have time. Conditions have usually good and easily with the price.
