What People Say

In summary

Princeton Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, open fairways, and interesting layout, which includes unique holes like a par three over water. The course is generally considered well-kept, though some areas, such as tee boxes and bunkers, could benefit from improved maintenance. Common criticisms include issues with drainage, slow pace of play, and occasional management or communication challenges regarding fees and group arrangements.

1 of 5 Mercer County Parks Commission courses. It feels like this course gets the least amount of attention. I also think some of the players have attitude issues which shows up in the parkong lot and on the course. Many people do not.follow the One Way rules of the parking lot. Pay attention and drive slowly. See the image of my micro vehicle, parked with room to put my gear in the hatchback. The driver of the Honda felt the need to park close, and they had plenty of room in the rear. You can schedule and adjust your tee time reservations on the website. The staff is very friendly, and ofte…

Fun course! Pretty well kept and open fairways, just be accurate on approach and avoid the bunker. Will definitely be back!

Challenging tight course in good condition. Hoping one day there will be better drainage! haha. I recommend for the price though. Bar/food is okay. Edit: New ownership has the food very overpriced. $6 hot dog should only be $3 max. Had to drop a star.

First time playing here. Staff was very friendly and they use their rangers to keep up place of play. Course is well kept and the greens are very nice. Player friendly course. Only two negatives. 1. Most of the tee boxes are overrun with crab grass. 2. Having to wait for pedestrians on the park path on the #15 par three is annoying and can slow down your round. Other than that I really enjoyed my round there. I'll definitely be going back.

Winter golf, played today in January. The back nine very sloppy, also strange to hit over bike, walking path on the par 3, 13th hole. Probably better when its warmer but this track is beat up. 17th hole was a swamp.

The course was in OK shape. The greens are actually OK tee boxes and fairways are pretty rough. There’s no food or beverage service. On Labor Day weekend Saturday they don’t even have a cook and are only serving hot Dogs. The lady working seemed overwhelmed delivering hot Dogs.Princeton could much better from a management standpoint.

Great atmosphere, the live Jazz/RnB definitely added to the experience. You could really taste the ingredients for each dish.

Second time I play here. Nice open fairways. Jim at the club house is very nice.

Why live music playing at 9:38 PM right by apartment buildings??? It is against noise compliance!!!

Horrible course, never waist ur money and time to come here. Fairways are hard as a rock and u can’t tell if it’s rough or the fairway. Every tee box is covered in crab grass or it’s just dirt, and all the holes are just mashed together. Starter was rude and let a group go in front of us when we were sitting at the tee box three minutes before our tee time, but apparently we “weren’t ready. Horrible experience I would rather go to work then play here.

Don’t bother wasting your time at this very mid course. After we started the first hole we were advised that the passenger (who wasn’t playing) would have to pay due to “insurance” reasons. This fee ended up being the full price of someone playing 18 holes. This is the first time we’ve encountered this at any NJ course. The fact that there was no mention of this prior to starting the game and the fee was atrocious just to be present at the course shows a lack of minimal decency. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. Edit: the fee was discounted due to the kind gentleman inside but noneth…

Course I. Decent shape but it does not drain well after it rains. Some twe boxes on the back 9 were not in the best shape. Some fairways were soggy and overgrown. Greens were good though.
