In summary

Crossgates Golf Club is often praised for its scenic and challenging layout, with well-maintained greens and a friendly, accommodating staff. The course offers a variety of terrain that adds to the playing experience, and the on-site restaurant receives positive feedback for its food quality. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play, outdated facilities, and inconsistent service, particularly in the pro shop and restaurant areas.

Both the course and restaurant were great. Green are fast and true. Plush fairways. Some can be tight but with gorgeous views no complaints at all.

Great course that makes you plan your shots. Food is very good. Marshalls do their best but weekend rounds are slow.

Not a 50+ dollar course. Aged facilities, no water coolers, cheap Ace Hardware bunker rakes, beat up greens, unmanaged and beat up tee boxes, no sand/grass seed on the tee boxes or carts, below average range, I could go on. The course is tight and a good challenge with a nice layout. Restaurant is nice. Pro shop is less than basic. They can do better.

Played for the first time today, June 14th 2025. Enjoyed the round tremendously. Great people in the clubhouse and on the course. Every hole is different, and the terrain plays a huge factor. Makes for some challenging shots in some scenarios. Feels like one of those courses I need to play again. Overall, really great experience and would recommend to anyone in the area. God bless!

Beautiful golf course with some challenging holes. A few of the more scenic holes run alongside a river. We arrived almost 2 hours early after driving in from out of state, but Mr. Rizzo was kind enough to squeeze us in and get us out early instead of having us wait. All the staff we met were super friendly and helpful. A very memorable 1st visit.

Great Course with laid back feel. Great food at the Cooper Hill restaurant. Recommend 18 holes and the Grilled Caesar Salad. They have great Beer not just domestics.

Course is in excellent shape compared to the many played of recent. Well manicured and the greens were rolling nicely. Deduct 1 star for the sluggish cart which struggled up hills. If target golf is your liking this course is for you. Recommended

Had an 9:43 AM “T” time, paid for myself and since we had a little before our “T” time I went back in the pro shop to grab a couple power aid drink. After waiting in line for 4 other individuals who were paying for their round I was told they couldn’t sell it to me and I had to go to the snack shop. Fast forward we finished up around 2 PM went to the snack shop to get a hot dog and drink were I was told “oh it’s been a slow day so and I was getting ready to close “ luckily the college student was nice enough to put hot dogs back on the grill for us and sell us drinks & a hot dog. What a way to…

Course was in good shape today and played well, but the amenities were poor and substandard. Carts don't have GPS, which is unacceptable considering many courses with lower greens fees have GPS in their carts. No GPS should be at least $10 lower green fee. Carts were over-governed to the point they barely had the power to make it up many of the hills on this course. My buddy had to get out a couple times or we wouldn't have made it, no exaggeration. Clubhouse is being renovated, so there is no place to get out of the heat for a few minutes at the turn. Snack bar is currently outside. Who th…

Course is in bad shape . Tee boxes are beat. Greens a have huge amounts of divets that patrons arent fixing. No ball washers. I know they have had a ton of rain that has hurt some of the fairway and greens, but the lazy players are ruining them
