In summary

Overlook Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained grounds and offers good value for the price, with some visitors enjoying the course's layout and variety. However, many golfers have expressed dissatisfaction with the staff's approach to pace of play, describing interactions with marshals and pro shop staff as rude and unprofessional. Additionally, scheduling issues, such as overlapping tee times and inconsistent driving range hours, have been points of frustration for some patrons.

My friend booked 2 tee times for Saturday morning for 8 total golfers. One golfer had to cancel very late.My buddy still got charged for the spot. I asked if they can do a raincheck instead, and we would all 8 come back and play again but they would not. I understand there is a policy but there is also a time for doing what is right. They could’ve issued a raincheck, and most courses I have played in my life have worked with you. Especially when you frequent that course often. I mean my friend that booked us plays this course many times a year and even gets out there in the cold winter months.…

Anyone ever have their group told to speed it up when you’re waiting several minutes for each shot bc of the group in front of you? Who ever the old lady is acting as “ranger” needs more knowledge of the game to run that position. Much prefer Four Seasons, Fox Chase and Cool Creek.

Absolutely not worth the money. Do not spend your money here. This place is the most controlling and uncomfortable environment I've ever experienced in golf. You can see by the owners lack of response to reviews how little they care if you have a good time or not. Had the joy of being paired with a "marshal" and his friend ( both are 70 years old and think they own the course ) who proceeded to hurry our shots and even pick up our missed putts assuming we were taking a gimme to speed up. Can you imagine being paired with someone you don't know and then picking up their 2 putt miss? Just shows…

Course is nice but the rough is pretty thick. We spent a lot of time looking for balls that should’ve been playable but were lost in the rough. There’s a lot of back and forth holes which mean you and other groups will frequently be in each other’s fairways. They schedule you back to back closely which makes it crowded. The course Marshalls are very mean about slow play, so it’s a rough time if you are behind the pace of play. Nice course but pretty rough atmosphere all around you during the round

Awesome experience. It was smaller, and it was drizzling lightly, but my wife and I had a great time. Each hole was easy, but with enough variety to still have a good time. We went in the middle of the week so it was practically empty, and we had a blast. It is a well maintained course. I believe it costs 7 dollars per adult, which was fair.

Incredible value and the best public muni in the area. Very impressive upkeep and the grounds crew care deeply about this course.

Overlook’s golf course is nice, but they’re driving range is so frustrating. On numerous occasions I have driven to their range during the summer months at 8:00 pm, as their website states it is open with lights until 10:00, and yet the range is inexplicably closed. If this is going to happen often, why not update the website?

The rating is for the range, not the course. The course is non-descript with one hole after another being exactly the same. The range is great. Flat, nice natural turf and well maintained.

Same issue as several other posters. Saturday morning tee-time and the course was full. My foursome had some guys who shoot upper 90's but we don't poke around and keep moving. A 2-some caught up to us on the back. They called the clubhouse and a marshal came out. She told us to play faster and followed us for a hole or two. Then she reported back to the 2-some. We finished in under 4.5 hours and had caught up to the group in front of us. I went into the pro shop to tell them I thought it was unnecessary to come out and yell at us. The woman behind the counter told us we should've played in un…

I’ve been playing golf a long time and I’ve never experienced the tone and disrespect displayed today by the course marshal. Despite being on pace to finish our round under the posted/recommended pace of play, we were harassed several times on the back 9. I understand trying to keep things up to speed on the weekend, but we were not the problem. His response when approached with our concerns was "oh well." Myself and the other members of my group will not be back.

The only reason we are giving this one star is because there is no option to give 0. A fun family day was turned into a rude and miserable day due to the staff at this golf course. Right off the bat we were given the rude comments of "do the women in the group even know how to play?" We were approached multiple times by course marshall's about our pace of play even though we were well under the time of the pace posted. After the third time we were approached half of our group left due to the rude behavior that was displayed by multiple marshall's. Our carts were blocked multiple times by the m…

Condition of the course was decent. Putting surface was not consistent from one hole to the next which is understandable for a busy course. Pace of play was fantastic, and had nobody holding us up and nobody behind us. The driving range was closed so that was a bummer. What we didn’t like was the rude front desk employee. After a hello how are you, the only response back is “you’re late” if we are hitting on the tee box at our tee time how are we late? Maybe there should be another person running the front if thats what people are greeted with. Won’t recommend anyone to come to overlook! Custo…
