In summary

Dakota Landing Golf Club is frequently praised for its friendly staff, affordable pricing, and suitability for beginners and families, with a well-maintained driving range and practice greens. The 9-hole course is described as easy and accessible, offering a relaxed atmosphere for newcomers to the sport. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, particularly the condition of the greens and fairways, and have experienced slow pace of play due to the lack of tee times and ranger presence.

Nice little community 9 hole course. It’s usually in “decent” condition but the greens are about as slow as you will find. You can usually jump on with little notice. This is a beginner / family course so that’s who you’ll likely behind. Most of the holes are pretty easy but it does play a longer than most tracks of this type. Driving range, chipping green and putting green are all kept in great shape. We play here once a week and is a great place for my teenager to hone in his skills without the pressure of a more advanced course. Staff here is super friendly.

I played Dakota Landing Golf Course years ago and recently returned to visit the driving range with my son, who has never golfed before. We had an absolute blast. The range has plenty of space, so even with several others practicing nearby, it never felt crowded or intimidating. Thankfully, none of our stray shots ventured too close to anyone—though we gave a few golf balls an adventurous flight path! It’s the kind of relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes trying something new fun. Great layout, friendly vibes, and a perfect spot to share the joy of golf with someone just starting out. We'…

No tee times which is fine and the greens are slow but decently taken care of. The issue is that in the absence of tee times you have to enforce pace of play. Got done with 5 holes in 1.5 hours. Spoke with the guy inside who sent out the ranger.....who should have been out there already. Too bad, this course could be great and affordable but until they step it up no way I'm coming back.

Was hitting balls on the range and putting green Monday till 7:30. Says they close at 8:00 online. The usual adults were working. Walked in at 6:50 on Tuesday to hit a quick small bucket. They had 4-5 high schoolers hanging out in the club house. They told me it closes at 7:00.

Terrible experience. The driving range is the only positive part of this course. Tee boxes are torn up, fairways look like rough so good luck finding your ball, and the greens are like shag carpets. The pace of play is always slow due to no tee times and no ranger outside to start. On top of all of this, the staff were incredibly rude and disrespectful. Wouldn’t go back to this course even if they PAID ME to play.

Tee boxes where not cut and a lot of divets. The greens need cut and rolled slow, slow, and bumpy

Course fits my skill level perfectly. Played with my 11 year old son and had a blast. We walked it but they do offer carts. Played 9 holes in an hour and half. It was a weekend morning and not overly crowded. There is a practice green and a driving range. Pro shop is more of a concession stand. Price point is right. We will go back often.

Fun and economic 9 hole course. Easy course, but interesting. Greens are in good shape, but slow. Staff is always friendly. No tee times, just show up and go. Putting green, chipping green and driving range.

Have been turned away three different times this summer to try to ride 9 holes between 6pm and 6:30pm in the months of June and July. If I didn’t live less than 5 minutes away I wouldn’t even bother, as this could possibly be one of the worse kept courses in all of Marion County, but the convenience factor has kept me coming back. This will be my last visit.
