In summary

Dauphin Highlands Golf Club is often praised for its beautiful and challenging layout, with well-maintained fairways and greens, and engaging elevation changes. The staff is generally regarded as friendly, and the course offers good value with amenities like GPS-equipped carts. However, some visitors express concerns about the pace of play, management issues, and the condition of the greens, particularly during certain seasons or weather conditions.

Having been in Mechanicsburg on Business I took the opportunity to play Dauphin Highlands. Despite being winter season and after 12hours of hard rain the course was open, ready to play and in good conditions. Greens were firm but fast, fairways trimmed and playable, just a shame it was cart path only due to the rain earlier. I would definitely like to play in the summer season, Thank you for the opportunity in winter. Happy Holidays.

I stopped here on my way through town to play. Good design with some views and elevation change. Biggest challenge will be putting the greens as things are open off the tee. 16 is the only hole that felt forced onto the land. Taking a star away because of the condition of four greens. Hopefully with some better weather the maintenance crew can get the conditions going in the right direction. Decent value otherwise.

Absolutely one of the worst courses to play in the Harrisburg area not because the course is not beautiful. The course is very beautiful but because they don’t have a ranger to control the pace of play. 4 hours in and we only got 12 holes in what kind of management does this. Instead of sending a ranger out or somebody else out to handle the base of play they just send messages to the cart but who really watches the messages on the card when you’re being 53 minutes behind base of play . It’s the absolute worst. I’m glad they’re closing down soon. They don’t deserve to be in this area. I’d rath…

Wow, what a great course. Early spring conditions are really surprising. Today, at 40$ with cart, it was a very good deal. I loved it and you will too. Cheers!

The scraping method of aerating greens has to be the worst way to treat greens in golf and this course is a prime example of it. Its November and the greens are horrible to putt on and never healed from when they were done. We wanted to come up from York to play, knowing we only have limited rounds left before its going to be turned into a data center. Course still has one of the most beautiful and challenging layouts around. But damn... those greens were the worst we played on all season and we play all over the place. Putts will literally stay in the scrape marks and go away from the hole. W…

Thought the price was fair. Carts with gps screen was super cool. Food was really good and the staff was friendly. Pro shop didnt even have spikes for sale. The range and putting green was really nice. The range balls were beat to hell and not even washed. The course was a nice challenging layout. It was absolutely tore up and the greens were horrendous.

Really well kept golf course and maybe the nicest rental clubs I’ve ever used. Staff was nice and helpful. GPS in the carts. One of the best values.

The course itself is awesome, great layout. But it's managed improperly. I'll never go again. They were starting people on Hole 10, which is no issue if you're told. We weren't told nor were there signs. We found out when we got to Hole 1 and cut a group. Then when we got to Hole 1 after coming off the first nine, they were letting groups and singles out, who were starting on Hole 1. What a cluster. Took almost 3 hours to play the second nine holes. Awful.

Although I really like playing this course, there are two things that really make it hard to go back. First of all, don’t book online!! They immediately charge your card for the regular full price. If you cancel your tee time or you are paying less than full price, they charge you that rate at the course and then you have to wait and keep checking for them to credit the original transaction. I don’t know of any other course that does this. Secondly, You get to the course in a positive mood and ready to play a good round of golf and you run into a surly, arrogant smart mouthed starter. It reall…

first time playing this course. what a pleasant surprise. Course layout is beautiful. Fairways are amazing , greens are receptive and wonderful to putt on. Only negative is bunkers have a good bit of rocks in them. Overall great golf day.
