In summary

Devils Head Lodge is appreciated for its well-maintained and diverse ski trails, friendly staff, and enjoyable atmosphere, making it a popular choice for skiing and snowboarding in the Midwest. However, some visitors express concerns about outdated facilities, slow lifts, and organizational challenges, particularly for beginners and families, suggesting that improvements in these areas could enhance the overall experience.

Skiing: overall okay. No high speed lifts. Trail maps seemed dated/misleading because some lifts/trails were not accessible or appeared permanently closed. Longer runs considering your in the Midwest was good here. Some pitches were good too. Lodging: extremely dated. Nothing overtly gross, just old and dusted. Almost like staying in your old dorm/grandmothers house. Restaurants/Dining: poor costumer service, not really interactive/overly helpful. website expresses having a variety of dining options and on our visit, there was really only 2 places open. Menus appear to be misleading too, with…

Devil's Head Skiing is some of the best in the Midwest... Which honestly doesn't say much, but we make due with what we have! What I like about it is that there are a variety of trails that actually meander through the woods, rather than other resorts in the area that just have straight down groomers. My only criticism is that the lifts are super old and slow...they really need to get a couple new high speed lifts, especially the fact that the ascent is higher than other resorts in the area. Besides that, the lodge is nice, the instructors are great and the trails are well maintained and fun!

Devils Head is a resort that we spent a lot of time skiing g as kids, and its still a great place to get too and not too far from where we live. We are a pretty loyal family, to the point that we held our wedding reception here back in 2005. Im back here to ski and its pretty amazing to see the groomed trails and a forecast of 40 degrees this afternoon. Found a sick hat for my wife in tge gift shop, too.come on out, have a Coors and a slice and carve it up, season is soon over.

Usually I ride at Cascade, but was feeling a little adventurous and decided to check out Devil’s Head—and honestly, I’m not sure Cascade will see me again. We went on a Thursday and paid $20 for 4–10pm, which is an absolute steal. The runs were great. As a green-and-blue rider, I had the best time—plenty of fun, well-maintained terrain that never felt boring. The terrain park also impressed me; it had more features than other parks I’ve been to and looked well thought out. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly, which made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back.

I went snowboarding here for the first time and it was really awesome. The two people who trained us were super nice and helped us a lot, and they made learning easy and not scary. The place was really cool and it wasn’t very busy, which made it even better. I didn’t stay at the resort, I just went there to snowboard, but it was still an amazing experience and I had a lot of fun.

We went on a thursday, they had 2 lifts open out of 8, and one just serviced the beginner runs so really just one lift open for real skiers, which means majority of the time we had to walk very far from the runs to the lift. The lift is extremely slow so between the long walks and long lifts, only 5% of the time we are actually skiing. Definitely not worth the INSANE 87$ per lift ticket, when we could go to cascade nearby for a much better experience, at a cheaper price

I enjoy coming here. The 70's architecture. The skiing is very good. The lift lines are small due to the multiple lift. The trails are exceptionally maintained. Night skiing is well lite. The bars and restaurants are fun. Hard to find a bad thing to say. Parking is plentiful.

Horrible experience for first-time skiers. We came mainly to give our son his very first skiing experience, but the entire process was extremely confusing and stressful. The first day was especially difficult. We arrived one hour early, and it was still not enough time to get ready. It was bitterly cold, and we had to drive around the resort—front and back—then walk up and down through snow just to find where we needed to go. I had to ask at least five staff members before finally locating the ski school and rental area. There was no clear obvious signage indicating where to get tickets, rent…

Went snowboarding for school and had a great time food overpriced but that’s every ski resort but devils playground is not a beginner HILL! Just cause it’s green doesn’t mean it’s easy and it’s very icy on that one slope so if you do go down it don’t break your collarbone like I did but the medical team are amazing people and very nice I would go back for a second time to snowboard

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 Stars My boyfriend and I stayed at Devil’s Head Ski Resort for a 3-day trip (Sunday–Tuesday). It was my very first time skiing, and it was my boyfriend’s first time back on skis in about a decade. Overall, we had a decent experience, but there were some major shortcomings— especially for beginners and weekday guests— that prevent us from rating it higher. The Good: We appreciated that weekday rates were slightly discounted, and the rental process itself was fairly easy. Rentals included everything we needed— boots, skis, poles, and helmets; and once we had everything, it was smoot…

We were put in a room at The Inn, and the couple we travels with and we were the only people in that whole building! Ridiculous from a safety standpoint as well as an economical standpoint. Rooms were small, no closet, dirty, drawers smells when we opened them. I will NEVER stay there again! There were literally a total of 5 cars in all of the parking lots combined! Golfed at the Glacier, which was okay but not well kept at all. I could tell it was a very nice course at one time, but is not in very good shape. All of the restaurants were closed so we had to go elsewhere to eat, which I guess I…

Service at the ski rental section was absolutely horrible. Me and 9 of my friends came here and more than half of us had bad experiences with those workers. This was our first and last time coming. We recommend going to cascade, people are way nicer there. Plus when we went the bunny hill carpet thing kept stopping while in it and little kids would fall off. Not worth coming here.
