In summary

Diamondhead Golf Club is frequently praised for its unique and technically challenging layout, as well as the friendly and accommodating staff. Many visitors appreciate the scenic views and consider it a good value for the price, with some highlighting the club's amenities like the restaurant and pool area. However, there are recurring criticisms regarding the condition of the greens and fairways, with some noting they are not well-maintained, and occasional issues with course management and communication.

Decent layout, plenty challenging. The greens were very slow and grainy. Fairways were mostly good but needed some watering and manicuring. Tee boxes well marked but some difficult to get your tee in. The front 9 is narrow and tough, the back 9 a little more open and not as difficult. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The carts were in very good condition. Overall, not a bad experience would go back hopefully to a little better conditions. Overall, decent venue and a pleasant experience.

Played Wednesday before Thanksgiving and was pleasantly impressed by the unique layout and hole design. Elevation changes up and down with blind shots; see pic of par 3. Greens were slow but true. Todd at the pro shop was informative and very nice. Will play again !

I’m from out of town and here for work, and wanted to play a round of golf. I called at 3:30pm and James in the pro shop answered. He got me a tee time for 4:10. When I showed up, he got me a decent set of rental clubs for only $15. I played 18 holes with a cart, with rental clubs, bought some tees, two sleeves of balls for about $65. He gave me the run through of the course so I knew what to expect, which was super helpful. The course was an awesome course for the price, especially for a same day round. Lots of fun holes and great views.

Have played it a couple of times recently. Staff friendly. Layout good and agree technically challenging course. However, greens and fairways are in poor condition and appear to be poorly maintained. Cart paths no better. Not worth the green fees charged. A shame because course could be one of the better ones around. Will not play again until management improves its condition.

I really feel this is a 3.5 star. The staff was awesome and very friendly. They really accommodated me as a drive up and they had a tournament on the front. The course is very scenic. Pretty good layout. Somewhat short. The fairways were not awful but were not plush either with several bald spots or weeds instead of grass. The greens were a little hairy and slow but again not awful. For the price point I would play again.

I would have given this 5 stars if the majority of the fairways weren't like concrete. Even though it's a relatively short course, the blue tees will often put you into a more difficult situation.
