There's not much better than being treated to a hidden gem like Lakeside Country Golf at dawn on Independence Day with your son in tow. This track sports nine perfectly quaint holes (2800 +/- from blue) tucked in the hills adjacent to Spencer Bay on Lake Catherine. The clubhouse and staff are welcoming as one would expect when essentially playing in someone's back yard. Tiny fuzzy (intentionally so) greens make up and down tough and critical to scoring and defend the course well. Left off the tee or long over the green is death at this awesome well kept oasis.

If you're searching for a relaxed yet challenging golf experience, look no further than Lakeside Country Golf Club in Hot Springs, AR. This family-owned, 9-hole course may be a little off the beaten path, but it's worth the visit for golfers of all skill levels. The course itself is thoughtfully designed, providing a good mix of challenging holes that will test your accuracy and strategy. The fairways and greens were in good shape during my visit, clearly reflecting the care and attention put into maintaining the grounds. One of the best parts of my experience was the friendly atmosphere. The…

What an excellent golf course! My husband and I just started golf about a year ago so we are pretty new. Since we are on vacation in Hot Springs, we decided to stop by here and play some golf. I was nervous since we have never been here before but the staff and other players were so welcoming and nice to us. Beautiful course with ponds and bunkers that really give you a challenge. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

A great course for beginners. Greens are average at best, only nine holes. If you’re trying to learn how to play golf, this is where you come.

Family owned golf course with tons of challenges. Small yardages but the course slope makes this place an awesome place to play. We played the 9 hole course back to back and it was very enjoyable both times. Good greens, fully stocked clubhouse, and even better hospitality. I highly recommend this place.

This place is the best... Can't wait for our third annual scramble here. Looking forward to seeing Amy, the pups, and District 5 receiving the worst beatdown in golf that has ever been given. Talk about a Hole in One.

We started our Anniversary morning off at Lakeside Country Club and it was absolutely perfect..... from meeting Amy and all her southern hospitality to the layout of the course to the company we met along the way! Highly recommend this course to anyone coming to the area!

I’ve been golfing out here for nearly 20 years — even when they had the old clubhouse many, many years ago. Hadn’t been in awhile, so decided to show up yesterday. It’s still the same great golf course it was 20 years ago. You can tell they are constantly adding on and improving each and every hole throughout the years. Only interacted with one of the workers yesterday at the front desk — she was very friendly and approachable. Happy to call this my home golf course!

Played this course last Thursday with my nephew. It is well maintained and every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. It’s a great course to just relax and have fun. Not uptight at all, like some bigger courses. I will definitely go back.

If you plan to bring your dog with you don’t. You’ll be harassed by the guy in the club house about it. This place won’t be getting another dime out of me. Don’t know if there’s new owners or what but I remember going here years ago and they had four dogs just laying in the club house so don’t know what the problem is now.

Great, fun, challenging course, but not too frustrating for novice players like my son and me. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Very reasonable price. A definite recommendation if you're in Hot Springs.
