Eastland Country Club is appreciated for its scenic views and friendly staff, with some visitors noting improvements under new management. However, many reviews express dissatisfaction with the course's condition, citing issues like overgrown greens, neglected fairways, and closed holes, which detract from the overall experience. The club's communication challenges, such as difficulty reaching staff by phone, are also mentioned as areas needing improvement.

Buddy and me played 18 holes at Olde Oaks. April 26 2025. They have 27holes but 9 are abandoned. The front 9 had trash everywhere. It was a Saturday and the greens hadn’t been cut for at least 5 days. Ball was bouncing and reads were impossible. The back 9 should’ve been closed for renovation too. 4 of the 9 holes were un playable the greens were so bad. 1 hole even said it was closed and couldn’t play. Just going down hill for sure! The photo is one of the greens on the back 9 that was considered playable…

The views are breathtaking and serene I came here with my husband, his rugby friends, and their wives (4 some). We were late for our tee time and they were really nice about it and didn’t charge us extra for us each get a cart like other places. The views are so pretty and the course was nice everyone was nice and friendly especially the bartender, he best pet was being able to golf with out being rushed. Definitely would be coming back the only downside is getting someone on the phone.

Not worth the $45-50 they charge. Almost all greens are overgrown with weeds or sand. One hole hasn’t been opened in 2 years for “repair”. And another they keep making a new temp green for “repair”. They still advertise that they have 27 holes but 9 holes haven’t been opened for the last 8 years. Seems all the money is dumped into Stonebridge and just letting this course die off when has an excellent potential.

Course is in terrible shape. The greens are some of the worst. It is definitely not worth $50 a person. If the course was $20 a person that would be more in line with what shape the course is in.

August 10, 2025 played the course. All the greens were in horrible shape and virtually unable to putt on them. Hole 11 green moved like a temp green due to original green deserted. Hole 13 completely closed due to green being deserted. Do not waste your money and play it in the shape it is in. This is truly sad because I played it when it originally opened and throughout the years.

This course is getting there. Over the last nine years I’ve seen it get good then fall back off. Jamie G and the rest of the crew out there have made some serious improvement in the few months that he’s been there taking care of the course. I’m excited to see where it goes after he’s had a full season out there. The greens are getting better every time I go out there.

Says to be 27 holes, 9 holes shut down, maybe 2 of 18 greens are playable, Not worth the $45 charge

1 star only because I can’t put zero stars. Should have read the review before deciding where to play this weekend. The website is very deceiving. Greens and fairways are terrible. Fairways haven’t been cut in over a week. Hole 2 on Cypress is rooted up from hogs. The ladies’ tee boxes are highly neglected. Oaks course apparently hasn’t been open for four years. Just an overall disappointment and waste of money. I do have to say the staff was fantastic.

Played a couple of times since February 2025. The new Greenkeeper is getting it in shape! With the current work and favorable weather, I hope to give 5 stars in the near future!

Scrappy course. Took forever to check in. Even got scolded by the Marshall for having 6 in our scramble group when there was no one within 2 holes.

The updates that are being done to olde oaks are amazing! They are bringing this course back to be the place the play... you can't find 27 holes anywhere else, nor can you find the quality for the price elsewhere. This course was THE PLACE to be when I played in high school and it's awesome to see them modernizing and updating it. It is beautiful and tucked away surrounded by beautiful scenery that makes for quiet enjoyable, affordable golfing! Highly recommend trying it out if you haven't lately 😊

Played today, 2nd time to play in a year. I thought it would be better, but it's worse. Staff is great, professional, but the course is in bad shape. If you are wanting to play the Audubon Golf Trail - skip this one. It's about 30 miles from Shreveport and not worth it. I can see from the layout the greatness that it was. It's overgrown, no sand in bunkers, the greens are dead. Hope they put some money into this one. It could be great again.
