In summary

Elkhorn Golf Club receives high marks for its scenic views, enjoyable course layout, and generally well-maintained fairways and greens, making it a favorite for both locals and visitors. Many appreciate the friendly staff and delicious food at the clubhouse restaurant. However, some guests express dissatisfaction with the limited operating hours, lack of on-course amenities such as beverage carts, and occasional issues with course maintenance and staff interactions.

We enjoyed our golf experience. There are some things that need to be changed or dealt with...like signs to a couple holes and their hours. Good closes at 4 or 5 and the clubhouse closes at 5. So weird for a golf course. Our food was amazing though! The burger was juicy and that pasta salad was delish!

A very nice golf course. We played on 5/21/22 with 8 people on a work trip. 6 of our group are below average golfers so we played as a scramble for them. The course was open enough that it was playable for the majority of our group, but also highly recommended by the two of us that are mid to low handicappers. There were some small brown spots in the rough and around tee boxes, but the fairways and greens were in perfect condition (2 weeks before peak season). More signs are needed by the clubhouse to direct players to the driving range and 1st tees, as well as to hole #12. You have to cross t…

I was in the golf business for 6 years. This is the worst run golf course I’ve ever encountered. The pro was rude. No beverage cart. No water jugs on the course. The pins had not been changed in several days. I would not play this course again for free. $215 for a terrible afternoon. If it weren’t for the beautiful views, this would be a below average muni. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Stay away!

We went to the all you can eat Friday fish and chips at a great price. The fish was outstanding, made with cod filets, not pressed cod meat. The fries were waffle fries piping hot. The atmosphere was special along with the views. Service couldn't have been better. We are locals and this restaurant will be one of only few that we will patronize frequently.

I’ll start off by saying that the golf course was nice and well kept. The carts were clean and ready to go. Our disappointment was completely on those we interacted with. Tyler at the front desk was short with us and not very pleasant to work with. He basically wanted to charge us, send us up to the starter and not open to any further questions or discussion. When we finished at hole 18 another gentleman drove right up to us and was also unpleasant instructing us that we need to stop further from the green, keeping in mind that he literally just drove as close to the green as we were. The cour…

Three years later, what a difference. 180 bucks a round, sloppy rude service from the pro shop to the cart barn, no beverage cart, no starter, they haven't had service at the turn for I don't know long now, the kitchen closes at 4..... what happened here folks, everyone I spoke with said that the management is the worst, and I certainly don't doubt it, based on what I experienced. Sun Valley should really be ashamed of how the Elkhorn course and experience have let every local and guest down. Please don't blame supply chain, staffing shortages, or covid... we are all over those excuses. This i…

Great golf club and main Restaurant. The Sun Valley Company bought the Elkhorn course 2 years ago and it is now phenomenal. The course can be difficult from the back trees. Hard to beat the views! Highly recommend!!

Very slow kitchen today, food was good. This place needs more live action, I understand its a golf club house but a little more action will be great. Like a little music that is not boring or put you to sleep.

Course is very poorly maintained, bunkers not raked recently and overall an overpriced disappointment in its current condition. Limited staff. I'm sure the members are very upset and disappointed. Regular watering and basic mowing and trimming practices would improve things overnight.
