I went here for a Christmas party thrown by my company. The staff was very kind and attentive. As for the food, it was delicious! Surprisingly, it also seemed relatively healthy, which is not what I was expecting from a buffet style lunch. If eating clean is a concern of yours, you will probably be okay here. Additionally, the club has kosher meals on supply, which came in handy for one member of our party. All in all, a great experience!

Been playing here for years, the course is acceptable as a private golfing club. It has 18 holes with greens and fairways, as it embraces the physicalites of a golf course. Over time, every glove I have ever gotten from here has disintegrated after 5 holes. I do not understand. Also the Pro V1s they sell are out of balance and always go right. Great staff and food.

Top shelf country club. Beautiful course, great condition, friendly people. Greens are firm and true - as fast as lightening. Very fair layout with just a few trees or other trouble spots. Third time playing there - always a delight.

Have been here for Christmas brunch with Santa and a small family event. The food is good and consistent. The staff is attentive. The grounds are beautiful. It is a historic old building with a lot of charm.

I wanted to share the wonderful experience my grandson had at the Essex Fells kid Camp. Being he lives in NYC, he was not exposed to playing Lacrosse, Tennis, Golf, swimming and arts and crafts. The commraderie and attention re received was wonderful. The counselors were all exceptionally kind and very giving. They provided the basis for learning and sports skills but most importantly they instilled confidence in each child to furthering their enjoyment and capabilities. Leadership and structure was present at all times, and have left an indelible mark on my grandson in the time he was there.…

Essex Fells is an exceptional country club. The golf course is first rate and is maintained in stellar condition by one of the finest greens superintendents that any club anywhere could have. The best amateurs in the Tri-State have competed here and have raved about the quality of the course. The club's golf professional staff is of incredible quality. Head Pro Brian Gaffney is one of the best golfers on the planet and is also a great teacher of the game. Assistant Pro Brian Varsey is as good a golf teacher as you will find anywhere. He and Mr. Gaffney are fine gentlemen. The golf professional…

They have a very nasty Caddie Master. He acts like he’s above the members and treats his caddies like dirt. I would not recommend anyone joining this country club. The members are all pleasant people though.

I have been calling a couple times over a year and a half, which I forgot to follow up upon with the staff about a family membership. Right now was the right time, so I went to go take a picture of the court for my family, given I had not last time due to a harassing member who is this upper class tennis court ahole that never grew up from high school (his actions and past conversations with the guy) and is an idiot in social settings, which is confirmed by the fact he is still playing sports at age 30+ (whom has the accumulated income that surmounts to less than 1% of my family investments, f…

Venerable venue was a suitable location for this event; the 58th and 57th Reunion of the East Orange high school classes of 1960 and 1961 respectively. The evening was thoroughly enjoyable and the staff was gracious and very efficient. According to their website, it's NJ's oldest country club and the USA's 6th oldest club . The clubhouse decor is in keeping with their rich - pun intended - golf history and tradition. My choice for dinner was the free range chicken. I think my history of dining out on all manner of chicken meals and being reared by a family of women who knew how to make a chi…
