Evansville Country Club

My husband and I went here for a trial run with the new owners on November 3rd, 2023, to eat dinner . At this point in time, im giving this place a 3. The restaurant looked clean and welcoming overall. There seems to be plenty of room for guests. First, we tried the cheese curds as our appetizer. They were good, but I feel there should have been more added. I have no idea what the prices are at this time as there were no prices listed so I do not know the price of any of the food we ate at the moment. I ordered the deep-fried cod and fries as my side. Wife & I ate there last night. Ordered appetizer with BBQ sauce. Waited 15 minutes for BBQ sauce. Ordered 2 drinks. Didn't get them until after starting meal. My drink was only half full. Hmm. Asked waitress to remove appetizer dishes. She only took 1. After eating meal our dishes sat until we left. Waitress DID NOT at all come back to ask if we wanted another drink. So we drank our water for meal. We used to love coming here. But NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED this time back.

Played this course for over 35 years even when it was just nine holes. It has always been a great course and a great value! Not long but, definitely challenging. I have found it a challenge to play on better Greens without spending a lot more money.

The prime rib dinner that was served was delicious!! Cooked perfectly. Not too thick or thin. Just right. As always. The server's were fast and friendly. Even had the chance to see the brewer ballgame.

Excellent golf course that is very well maintained. Some tight fairways, challenging bunkers, lots of hills, but very fair course.

Great Course. The Ranger is a big problem who has certain people he likes and everyone else doesn't matter. He has told me to hit into groups in front of me numerous times. I have done this after telling him my concerns of striking people on the fairway, and hit a woman. When this happened he drove off real quick so I couldnt tell him "I TOLD YOU SO!" This guy is why I dont become a certificate holder. I would rather drive to Madison at this point rather than deal with your Ranger. The course and food is great. Just needs a competent ranger so there are not FOUR groups waiting on the same tee…

This was our 2nd visit and it was wonderful. Great fish fry and the salad bar is delicious. Service is also great and very reasonably priced.

This is a must play place! Excellent food it's kept in excellent shape.Can be a little bit slow do to amount of people that go here.

Best fish and Friday night specials around that I have found. Chef Rita and the staff are excellent, love that Kelli.

Best fish fry ever! Wonderful salad bar. Service. And fish w great sides!!! Loved it!!!

Went for a Christmas party so I didn't get to try the course, but it felt more lime a municipal course, not a country club.
