Update July 2024 Did the quarry course this time. Lots of hazards, water, sand, rough.. pretty challenging! Our foursome Started 18 at 545 and didn't get through it. ---------- Not a bad course, our foursome did 9 holes with 2 carts in under 2 hours. Fairly challenging front 9, few traps, hard dog legs, no water hazards but probably saw 200 ground hogs, no exaggeration. Never seen so many ground hogs. Couple deer too.

I played at Fanshawe Golf Course on the Quarry Course in mid-October, and it was a fantastic experience. The course layout is impressive, with wide fairways that give you room to play, but the small greens on the par 4s and 5s keep things challenging. Hole 15 is an absolute beauty, offering a memorable view and play experience. The two par 3s are also standout holes that add to the enjoyment of the round. I recommend playing here during a quiet autumn day to fully appreciate the serene atmosphere and beautiful fall colors. Fanshawe Golf Course is a great choice for any golf enthusiast!

Not the worst course in the world, pretty average for a public course, but very slow golf and clogged up tee times. College aged staff is very chill but some others like the guy in the pro shop I dealt with today was brutal (accusing of hopping on for free when we were members and checked in) figure yourself out fella.

Played here mid October on the Quarry Course. Great course, hole 15 is a beauty. Big fairways, small greens on the par 4’s and 5’s. Two great par 3’s. Play here when it’s quiet in the autumn.

It's a great course, very well maintained. It has a lot of challenging holes that make you think about each shot. I would definitely recommend playing here.

I like this course and I know it’s mostly used by men but some women go too... I expect porta potties to be as gross as they are at Fanshawe but not a SINGLE DROP of sanitizer in ANY of them? Like cmon that’s nasty

Two good city courses. I prefer quarry, though there’s nothing wrong with the Traditional. Really busy on weekends but that’s to be expected with the price point. EDIT Gone to garbage. They booked our tee time on top of another group. Took about 6 hours to play 18. No marshal to tell people to hurry up. Ridiculous amount of time that most people don’t anticipate having to spend on a now mediocre course.

Fanshawe golf course both traditional and the Quarry are very well maintained but the real stars are the staff who returned my lost wallet in the middle of the night.

good prices but that also means that it's usually too busy ..but I've gone many times and will go again

Traditional: Better of the two courses, more difficult and typically in better condition especially after a solid rain. Greens run true, however on the slower side, so breaks tend to be exaggerated. Overall a great course for the price. Quarry: Challenging when windy due to the openness of the course, overall not very difficult. Laid back lay out with little course management involved. Great for beginners.

Played at the Quarry Municipal course for the first time. Was very pleasantly surprised. Very good condition, good spacing of golfers unlike at times in the past. Great value. Parking is a challenge but overall, would golf there again.
