In summary

Flanders Valley Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic and well-maintained course layout, offering a variety of challenging holes across its 36 holes, and for its friendly and helpful staff. The club lacks a driving range, and some visitors have noted issues with pace of play and the condition of tee boxes. While the course is generally well-regarded, a few reviews mention management and maintenance concerns, such as drainage and fairway conditions.

Course is FOR THE PUBLIC!, it’s always packed!. Always.. nice layout course.. nice fairways and greens.. tee boxes could use some work., (fairways has lots of divots, I assume because so many people play here it’s hard to maintain that aspect). Starter was a cool guy.. I only played 9, I’ll have to come back and check out the other 27 holes.

Morris County has the best public courses, first Birkshire and now Flanders. Flanders has two combinations of tees and 36 holes in total. Sadly no driving range. But great staff and spectacular views. They also have locker room open to everyone.

Flanders is one of my favorite courses in the area. Both courses have great layouts and are always kept in great shape! The staff over there is always super nice and helpful and the Tiki bar is a great place to grab a couple cocktails after the round. Overall, would recommend to anyone who wants to play a great round of golf!

My recent experience at Flanders Valley Golf Course was delightful, and I'm happy to leave a positive review! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making my visit all the more enjoyable. Their warm attitude added to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the course. Speaking of the course, it was undeniably fun to play! The layout offered a great mix of challenges, and I appreciated the variety of holes that kept the game interesting. The scenery was also beautiful, making each swing even more enjoyable. While I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the course, I couldn't help but notice th…

Quite a nice golf course! Actually, there’s four nine hole courses, and they’re paired in Blue-White and Gold-Red. There were MANY starters, so be ready to show your receipt for everything. With that, our tee time was at 3:40, but due to the group in front of us’s slow play, we didn’t tee off until 3:52. Did the rangers do anything? No, because there were no rangers. I still can’t believe it took my foursome over 2hrs45 min for the front nine. The course itself had some questionable pin placements, such as right on the peak of a slope. Unfair pin placements for a recently aerated green. Fairwa…

A golf course with really 4 nines, all with different characteristics. From being hilly and tree lined, to being flat and brutally windy. The grounds crew makes magic, being all the golf the course gets. This is a beautiful and challenging muni in Morris County. Always looking forward to a round here and seeing the staff. Some of the starters are hilarious in all the best ways.

Played the Gold-Red course. The front 9 is absolutely stunning. The back 9 felt like a let-down. But they were not bad at all; just super flat and open. Great for players who are just starting or tend to spray their tee-offs. The staff is very polite and professional. I wish they had a practice range. This would then make them a 5-star course.

Lovely scenic course. The Gold 9 especially was awesome. The Red 9 has slightly better fairways. All the greens were a bit in the slow side. Mostly easy course and doesn't offer too much elevation changes or tricky offerings. It's long requiring a bit of a walk between hikes too. So consider driving a cart. The brooks/streams that cut the course only have one bridge so walkers have to make big detour to get to the balls. Should have more walkable plank bridges for non cart users. Recommended!

Very nice course, clean. Some tee boxes could use some repairs though. Some staff are not as friendly has I would like being in the service industry. Also, start times should be at 15 minute intervals I believe theirs are ten.

So sad what the current management has done to this place. May as well play the traps as ground under repair because it's just rocks and a cement-like base; rough is burnt out; drainage is constantly an issue; no attempt to maintain the tee boxes or fairways. Used to be one of my favorite places to play now I never play there. Too bad.

Terrible service with this establishment. Called to schedule a tee time and was redirected to a third party who clearly is not trained well and made booking a tee time difficult. I attempted to call the pro shop to explain this and before I could finish talking they transferred me back to the third party company.

You can usually get tee times easily. It’s also on the pricey side as there are better or just as good semi-private courses in the area that you can play for less than the in county rate. Isn’t a county course supposed to offer better prices than those that are run for profit? Lowered rating twice this year. Played twice in Sept 2025. Most tee boxes on gold /red were in horrible shape, barely any grass. White/blue was better but it rained the night before and it was cart path only. It hasn’t rained all summer and one day of rain and it’s cart path only? Most fairways were bone dry and there w…
