In summary

Lake Lackawanna Golf Course is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and suitability for beginners, offering a relaxed atmosphere without the need for reservations or strict dress codes. The course, nestled in a scenic neighborhood setting, is praised for its interesting layout, particularly the 8th and 9th holes. However, some visitors note that the course conditions, including tee boxes and greens, require improvement, with occasional slow pace of play and maintenance issues being points of concern. Recent management changes have reportedly led to some improvements, but further work is anticipated.

Great course for amateur golfers like myself! The grounds are being maintained very well and some of the holes were quite difficult with ponds right in front! We really enjoyed our time here. We liked not having to make a reservation and were lucky enough no one was behind us for quite a while! Just be mindful it’s not a grand national club.

First time at a golf course like this. After paying we were told we can choose to do the course a second time if we wanted a full 18 holes. After the 9 holes we were stopped to pay for another 9 holes. I stopped my brother from continuing to resolve the issue. I asked my brother if he thought it was worth it, since I felt the course wasn’t up to par with other courses in the area. We decided to pay. After paying management confronted us after the confusion accusing us of trying to do another 9 holes without paying. Management came up to us in a cart head-on and pointed fingers jumping to concl…

Love this 9 hole course. It's the best bang for your buck in the area, as it is extremely reasonable and the staff are super friendly and accommodating.

This is a good place to play golf, it’s more for those who are new to the game and are looking to improve their skills. Pace of play is hit or miss. I played on a Sun late afternoon and it was pretty slow. Course conditions, however, were not the best. Some areas were okay, but many tee boxes were dirt with little grass area. Some parts of the fairway were dirt patches, too. The greens were slow, but surprisingly in decent conditions. Overall, if you are new to golf and looking for somewhere to play and practice, LLGC is a good place to check out. Those golfers who are a bit more advanced and…

Positives: 1. It's cheap 2. No need to book a tee time 3. Not too crowded 4. It's a fairly easy course for beginners like myself. 5. No country club dress code Negatives: 1. Tee boxes are in pretty rough shape 2. No fairways at all, it's pretty much rough to green on all hols including the two par 5s. 3. Greens are by far the slowest greens I have ever played on. To the point where they are too slow and affect your game. Negatives aside I will be back because it's the first course I ever played and I always have fun playing it. Edit: Just played a solo round there last weekend and the cou…

This is the most poorly maintained golf course I have ever been on....the tee boxes are rock hard dirt with tiny patches of lumpy crab grass...could be a nice short course, instead it's a waste of time

Great short track. Plays right around 2200 yards as a par 34, so its closer to an executive type course. The par 5s are short but require shot placement. There is a 200 yard par 4 that is tight and uphill playing around 230, but needs two very accurate shots for a GIR. Greens are slow, but they're in good shape. Tee boxes are a little rough, but that's to be expected since you're usually hitting iron. Price is great, but its only about 5 dollars less (on the weekend) then walking 9 at farmstead which is in better shape. Ideal if you're looking to practice your game or walk a quick 9. Great…

This quiet 9 hole course nestled between a lake community and mountains is a great place for beginners and people on a budget. You can rent a cart but I suggest walking the course to get a true golf experience. The greens are challenging and could use some TLC. At around $14 per player, you can't beat it.

First time playing out of desperation because most courses in the area have closed for the season. The 3 stars are because they were open. Sorry to say, the course conditions warrant zero stars. Tee boxes dirt and bare. The greens indistinguishable from the fairways. 200yd par 4? 400yd par 5? I get it, it's family and newbie friendly. But families and new golfers deserve to be putting on halfway decent greens don't they? It's not like they're giving the course away for free. We paid $16 to walk this short 9 holes and I hate to say it, it wasn't worth it. A 9 hole course in the middle of a comm…
