My review is of Bob Rhein , golf professional at Bowling Green golf club. Bob is master teacher of the golf swing. His teaching methods are easy to understand and implement into your own game. Bobs works with your existing swing and makes minor changes that foster immediate improvement. Bob believes that everyone can get better at golf if they have the knowledge and practice correctly. Bob is kind , patient and can help any golfer looking to improve their game. He is known by his friends as the “Swing Doctor”. Bob checks all the necessary boxes that are required to be a great teacher for the b…

Great course! My father and I played a round here in the fall and it was really a good looking course. Challenging not just because of the leaves but the majority of the course is rather narrow and lined with trees. If you can hit your shots straight (I wish) you can have a lot of fun with the variety of hills and ponds on the course. My personal favorite was the double bridge hole where it’s a 150 hit to a small island then dog legs to the left over to the end of the course. Overall tough but beautiful, worth coming back to! Great guys working there who were very informative and organized.

I was a bit hesitant given the price, but the course and staff were great. Well maintained esp the greens. The staff was 10/10 and made the day even better. Shout to Gene and the starter ranger.

Bowling Green rewards accuracy and makes you think on every shot. The par-5 4th is a true three-shot hole, and 18 feels like it goes on forever—a great way to finish. The front nine is tight, with balls cracking through the pines, while the back opens up but still demands strategy. With included range balls, friendly staff, and a summer beer garden, it’s always a great place to play.

Absolutely horrendous overpriced low maintenance crappy conditions. Leaf removal is something they do not care about. Customer service is something they don't care about. Membership they definitely don't care about. Lousy golf course for what it used to be. Great layout and unfortunately they've ruined it. Don't waste your time

This place is okay, higher priced than other places but not that much nicer. The people at the proshop are pretty kind. The ranger is a super weird. It's best to just tell him "yeah ok man, we'll do XYZ" just to get him to go away. He's always looking for a fight because his life is so miserable. If they fired that ranger, this place would be 4-5 stars. That one guy ruined the entire day for us. He will ruin your day too.

The band there, Timepeace, was great and we really enjoyed their show. However, we ordered food and it took more than an hour and a half to get our order which was absolutely ridiculous. It seemed like there were only 2 people in the kitchen so I don’t know what they were expecting having so little people in the kitchen. Update: the next time coming here was much more pleasant; food came in a reasonable time and the food was good! Think maybe last time may have hopefully been an off day with understaffed staff?

I recently hosted my husband's surprise 50th at Bowling Green in the Grill Room. I didn't know much about this place but my husband is a golfer and always said it was his "favorite hidden gem" Being in the hospitality industry myself I had a vision of what I wanted and after a lot of searching - Bowling Green checked all of the boxes. I met with Jeni, the catering manager, and the chef to plan the menu which was customized to what we were looking for. From start to finish Jeni was extremely helpful and responsive answering all my emails right away which is a rarity these days. We were a group…

Tree-lined golf course, with some scenic views. I would say almost 50% of the holes you are teeing off blind but green and fairways are relatively well maintained not sure if I'd pay more than $100 everytime. Definitely a place to go in the fall for the scenic foliage.

Teed off on 1st hole Par 4 then the starter yelled at us saying “why you guys hit the ball?”, said we are only allowed to tee off after the group ahead got off the green on a 370yd par 4, without saying anything before we were at the 1st tee. We then had to wait 15 mins past our original tee time on the tee box to play. Then got chased around and yelled at by the marshal for like 5 or 6 holes to keep up the pace when we are already trying to recover from the messed up 1st hole. Also charging $145 on a weekend morning is diabolical for this course and condition. Only thing good is the green was…
