In summary

Ballyowen Golf Club is widely praised for its beautiful, well-maintained links-style course that offers stunning views and a challenging layout, reminiscent of traditional Irish and Scottish courses. Visitors frequently commend the friendly and accommodating staff, as well as the exceptional service provided during both golf outings and events like weddings. However, some guests have noted issues such as the lack of GPS on carts and occasional slow pace of play, which can detract from the overall experience.

Great course, friendly staff, and 4 hour round with no hold ups! All around a beautiful day of fall golf!

I was playing a practice round for a 2 day tournament here and the course is in great shape! Even after rain, the greens rolled true and the fairways were still firm. I can’t wait to play here again. There’s a big grass range and a massive putting green here as well. The course is phenomenal!

So tad expensive course(300 CAD), definitely worth playing it at least once, was a really great course with St Andrew’s,feel, love the links style. Challenging holes and greens. Great old style course. Windy as heck, which always adds fun lol

Before I retired to South Carolina I lived in New Jersey for over 20 years. In that time I played 139 courses in NJ. Without question my absolute favorite was Ballyowen. A beautiful and well maintained gem. I even won a Golf Club of NJ tournament there years ago!

I had a wonderful time photographing Meg and Joe's wedding at Ballyowen! The staff treated me with respect, listened to my small requests, and were incredibly friendly from the start. They were a pleasure to interact with throughout the day. The team also kindly loaned us golf carts (when no one was golfing) so that my couple and I could scout the area for the best possible pictures. This is a rare courtesy among golf courses, and I deeply appreciate Ballyowen for making it possible. A big shout-out to Marc, the maître d', for going above and beyond. He consistently checked in to see if we ne…

UPDATE: Added historical photos of the course and Ballyowen's sheep from April 2006. Fabulous links styled course, with Irish/Scottish charm. Beautiful layout. Love the look of this course. Played here back in 2006, walked the course, early afternoon tee time. They have sheep on the course, right side of #12 in a pen! Also, the day I played, sheep were situated a few places on the rolling elevated hills (between fairways) within the long grass. I walked in the fairways below the sheep. Starting at #16 and onward late in the day, the sounds of Celtic music played by bagpipers, near the clubho…

The service was exceptional. Julia, Hannah, Marina, and Patrick were absolutely phenomenal. They were all kind, respectful, funny, and just great people. They treated our group of 16 so well and did so to other customers during my experience. It’s was a treat to receive such wonderful service from staff members throughout the coarse/clubhouse. If I can afford it (shoutout Hannah!) I will absolutely come back in the future! Thank you Ballyowen Team!

Overall great course! Much better than Wild Turkey for the fees. However tough to beat the value at Neshanic Valley - which is much cheaper and probably equal or better course conditions.

As soon as we saw Ballyowen we knew it was the wedding venue for us and so happy we chose it for our special day! We wanted to express our thanks to the entire Crystal Springs team for making our wedding dream become a reality! Not only are the venues so beautiful but the staff were great and accommodating to work with. A special thanks to Julie and Silje for your support and help throughout the entire planning process all the way to the day of the wedding! Silje and Mark, thanks for being there on the wedding day, and just asking us if we needed anything. Your assistance throughout the day; t…

Had a 2:00 tee time on Sunday 9/21. Course is beautiful. First off, a course that charges upwards of $250 should be required to have GPS, NO EXCUSES. Second, starter tells you it’s 15 minutes a hole, 4:30 round. Waiting on EVERY HOLE and just about EVERY SHOT. Got to fourth tee box and we’re already over an hour in. Called pro shop to get a ranger out to try to speed things up since we were on pace for a 6 hour round. NO RNGER CAME OUT AND DIDNT SEE ONE ALL DAY!!! Ridiculous. Don’t have starter say 15 minutes a hole and then not try to enforce some kind of pace of play. Third, no water in over…
