What People Say

In summary

Fort Benning Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, beautiful course layout, and well-maintained fairways, making it a pleasant experience for both casual and seasoned golfers. The club offers good amenities, including a pro shop and a renovated lounge, and provides a scenic setting for golf and dining. However, some visitors have noted issues with the maintenance of greens and fairways, particularly during the summer, and the occasional unavailability of golf carts.

What a fun experience visiting my son and walking along with him as he played. The course was well groomed, in great condition and offered beautiful views of the landscape. I enjoyed every minute!

Good weekday deals. Mosquitos and gnats were out to annoy when I was there in July. Not a lot of golfers were out at 8 am on a Tuesday, which was nice. The course itself could be better maintained (sand traps wet, fairway has rough patches, and some putting greens could really use some seed) . Overall, still enjoyable to get out and golf.

Friendly staff and course is in better and better shape as the season goes on! I will say they *desperately* need new range balls though

All tee boxes are completely fix. This is definitely a good course to play 18 holes or a quick 9...

I'm only going to rank this at four stars because the greens are not in the best shape. They're making some attempts to fix some things with them. I've noticed it's in the winter time when they let Poa annua get into the Bradley course. Also it looks like they may have suffered some Frost damage over the past couple of winters. I just love this course but I wish the greens would be better taken care of. The staff is friendly. The driving range is adequate. Beautiful layouts and I usually get paired or end up playing with a service member there. It always is good to do that and have a nice conv…

Great course! Nothing is a better lunch break than driving up the road and driving balls on the range during lunch. Love this place. Wish they had a repair shop but I understand keeping cost low.

I've played alot of military courses and this one is in great shape. Nice fairways, greens are fast and alot of elevation change. Practice grounds are really good. Not alot of traffic on weekdays so the 19th hole doesn't cook up food - probably weekends and tournys. Not a lot of water (none if i recall), but your bunker game is on call. Some hole with trees in play. A few driveable par 4 and approachable par 5 holes for the eagle hungry. I play NAS Jax and Mayport and hey are good, but this one is in better shape. Absolutely worth it and terrific course for a weekend golf buddies outing.

Course was nice. But could have used more maintenance. You can tell it isn't a priority. And they wouldn't allow us to rent a cart. So my disabled friend had to walk the entire course. About 5 miles..

I had the best time golfing here with my family. Great course and affordable. An awesome family outing!! We rented clubs for all of us and carts too. Was a blast!!

Decent greens and fairways! Was sad to see the Patton course close a few years ago. Thus the 3 stars instead of 5. Have been playing here with my husband for 16 years. Just make sure the Dixie Seniors aren't playing the day you want to. They don't let woman Seniors play or anyone else. If the Patton course was open then other golfers could play when the Dixie scramble is going on! Just an idea!

This is the first time I have played here in a few years. The course was in excellent shape and the greens are some of the best in the area. It is only 18 holes now instead of 27. Even getting a pass to get onto Ft. Benning is easier. I will definitely go back again.

I visited Roz's cafe at the Benning golf course. I had the fish and shrimp lunch special. It was a thick flaky fish filet with at least a half dozen shrimp, two sides and a roll. I also had tea and it was all under $12. The food was hot and fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive and the dining room is situated with a nice view of the golf course. It was a relaxing lunchtime getaway. I will definitely be going back!
