In summary

Fort Cherry Golf Club is appreciated for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly staff, providing a generally enjoyable golfing experience. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the high pricing relative to the course conditions, slow pace of play, and inconsistent management practices, including issues with membership cancellations and unexpected fees. Despite these criticisms, the course remains a popular choice for both local and visiting golfers.

We were incredibly excited to join this course this year after having such a great experience last season. Our friends were members, we played here often, supported events and clinics, and even our friends even hosted a private party at the course, bringing in new guests and business. We also genuinely loved the golf pro, Rich, who was a huge part of why we kept coming back. That’s why it was so shocking to receive an out-of-the-blue email after just one weekend of membership stating that all memberships were being canceled moving forward, with no clear explanation. Being told to either accep…

I love this course! Played here about 5 times so far. The clubhouse is old, and when you show up it looks like you’re entering a sketchy motel haha. But the course is very well maintained and the holes are challenging but fair. I feel like Fort Cherry nails the difficulty of rolling hills but doesn’t make it unfair (looking at you Moon Golf Club!!). The owner is really chill and has given me two rain checks so far for different reasons. If you play on the weekend, expect it to be crazy busy and fast pace of play. They do 8 min spaces between tee times so it’s very packed. If you go during t…

Played this course for my first time today. The guy in the pro shop was well mannered and nice as could be. The course was in great shape overall. Greens were in great shape compared to what I’m used to playing on. Carts have gps which is a really nice touch. All in all it was a great experience and I will be playing there again!

The owner raised the price to 69 dollars. Thats not a typo. We play Fort Cherry probably 8 times a season. It’s not a 70 dollar course. And when we played it last week, with the surprise fees, the course wasn’t even touched. Tee boxes were trash, fairways were trash, greens….yup thrash. Might as well go to Quicksilver. Lost another golf course to greed. Just like Village Green

I haven't played here in years and couldn't really remember much of the layout except a few holes. We haven't had the greatest weather in the past 3 weeks but the course was in good shape. The greens rolled very true! Little bit of a shooting gallery with the parallel holes but not bad at all! Would play again for sure!

Terrible management and spotty course upkeep… lunch time on a Sunday and zero food or bar. Greens were in awful shape and staff were miserable. For $65 you’d expect to at least have a hot dog or maybe a glove to buy in the pro shop .. zero gloves or Balls to buy.. I’ll never be back

I recently had the pleasure of playing at Fort Cherry Golf Course, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The course itself is well-maintained, with lush fairways and greens that roll true. It's clear that the grounds crew takes pride in keeping the course in top shape. What really stood out to me was the layout. It's a beautiful and challenging 18-hole course that offers a good mix of long drives, tight fairways, and strategic approach shots. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced golfer, there’s som…

Solid layout but not the best conditions. If quicksilver is 9/10 this is a 6. Greens were fast and true but most had rough/damaged patches some bigger than 10 square feet. Atmosphere around the clubhouse was great. Nice bar with decent finger foods and good beer deals. Staff was great! Very helpful and polite. Overall a great experience.

Played a foursome in the heat of the day. The greens were fast. Fairways were solid. Those fairways, for the most part, are forgiving, and an errant drive is still playable, but holding those greens was a bit tricky. What you think is a good putt may end up 4 or 5 feet past the cup. Made it fun to play.

We had to wait 30 mins for tee off and the group behind were impatient and kept hitting up on us. The course was beautiful

Unfortunately Got stuck behind a league on a Wednesday night. They were super slow and it took 2.5 hours to play 9. The course is not in good shape, and they charge way too much for what you get in return!

I’m from out of town and I tried to go to what are considered the more high-end golf courses in the area but they were all booked so I went here. The staff was very nice. The course was better than I expected it to be. There was definitely nothing to complain about if I had one critique There was a lot of good golfers, but you can tell a lot of new golfers go here that really don’t know the rules and etiquette. Even though this golf course has all the rules out front of the clubhouse, but hey, as long as those people are respectful I’m OK with it
