In summary

Fort Macleod Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, beautiful layout, and accommodating staff, making it appealing to both beginners and seasoned players. The course is known for its challenging features, such as elevated tee boxes and numerous trees lining the fairways. However, some visitors have experienced issues with staff interactions and slow play, and there have been occasional concerns about the availability of amenities like golf carts and the restaurant.

Great lil coarse, Dell does a great job running the show and the green keepers are a great bunch too. Looking forward to another great season 2026, let’s do this!!

Course is in great shape this 2024 season. They have done an excellent job keeping the course in as good of shape as it is. Greens and tee boxes all in great shape. The few elevated tee boxes adds an extra challenge. For the price of a round you cannot beat this majestic 9 hole course. Definitely be back a few more times this season!

A beautiful course layout and always in great condition. A combination of challenging holes, and some open fairways makes this place ideal for players of all skill level. A big shout out to clubhouse staff, who make the golf experience even better here.

They strive so hard to make this ancient golf course a thing of beauty, the crew are super friendly and the prices are ultra affordable. We stay locally once a year for a week just to play here. Totally worth the stop!

Dell Hildebrandt, shame on you. Our family came from out of town to golf Fort Macleod on a beautiful day, yet you see us walk in with 2 kids who haven’t said a word or done anything and you instantly start attacking my 3 and 5 year old boys, assuming they will be a disruption to your course. We have golfed 60-65 different courses since they have been born, members at multiple courses, and have never ever had anyone have an issue with our kids coming golfing with us. We will NEVER be back. Way to promote youth golf in your town.

Really clean, lovely course. With nice long holes and short ones. I recommend you stop in for an afternoon round and check this lovely hidden golf course. The trees can be difficult to pass. And the sand traps and water traps are an amazing addition to this course. You can rent carts and they were very hospitabile to us coming even know we were behind for our tee time. Check this course out for a bit of a challenge. But also a fun time with friends

I have always found this little course to be a challenge largely due to the many hundreds of old cottonwood and poplar trees that essentially line every fairway. This course definitely puts a premium on finding the fairway off the tee. Played it again this past week and found the course to be in great shape for mid September and loved playing it even though I never seem to score well here and the latest rounds were no different. My only complaint about the course is on the day we played it a few of the pin placements were ridiculously placed on the most sloped area of the green. Particularly N…

Great course in small town Alberta. Well kept and fun to play. Forgiving enough for beginners and challenging enough for seasoned players. Very accommodating. Love it and recommend!

We had 2 new golfers that had never golfed before and thought this would be the perfect little corse for them. Course was great but a staff member named Amanda made it a horrible experience. She was really snobby to my family and I cause we took a little longer then normal. Her biggest issue was that there was people waiting for golf carts. That’s not our problem that they do not have enough golf carts there. First and only time I have been there and we will never go there again. I DO not recommend people that are new to golfing or not very good at golfing to EVER go here. You will just get an…

Previous years at the Fort MacLeod Golf Course have been a lot better. This year the 4 times we have been out there the restaurant it's never been open. There's only ever been one staff member on. The refreshment cart has never been out. The sand is absolutely horrible. There is clear evidence that they have a groomer for the sand but when we've been there it's evident that has not been used. So if you go into this and it's like hitting out of a hard dirt box. Tee boxes are lumpy and bumpy and are not level as they should be. On the upside the fairways and greens are still well maintained. And…

Saw the course online and decided to try it out. Very beautiful course. Challenging with a surprise elevated tee box. Would recommend and will definitely return if we end up back in this area.
