In summary

Fountainhead Creek Golf Course receives praise for its friendly staff and enjoyable layout, offering a mix of challenging and easier holes. However, many visitors express significant concerns about the course's condition, citing issues with dead greens, overgrown fairways, and inadequate maintenance. While some note recent improvements under new management, the overall consensus suggests that the course requires further investment to reach its potential.

Fun course - very few challenging holes. Well maintained - fairways and greens were in great shape. Staff was incredibly friendly, too.

Worst golf trip plans gone bad. Trip to Eufaula to play golf on my 70th birthday and all the greens were 100% dead and nothing but dry mud.

This course could be a gem. It has a nice layout and a nice mix of challenging holes and easier holes. Unfortunately a number of fairways had large bare areas. Most greens were completely sand covered. Only a couple had any grass at all but were still 90% sand. Most holes I played I just picked up after getting ball onto green. I would love to play again if the course is in better shape. But as it is right now, no.

Absolutely the worst golf course I have ever played in my life, they have never heard of a mower in their life. You can build the biggest sand castles on the greens. Lots of weeds and dirt, fantastic golf experience!

Worst course I’ve ever played. The greens were “browns”, had to putt on dirt. Supposedly their irrigation system wasn’t working but it obviously didn’t break recently. They should close down the course and reconstruct or let people play free. Better yet they should pay you to play.

Course in horrible shape. Not mowed or manicured at all. Wild Hog ruts and holes everywhere.Yes, It has rained alot. But even the grounds around maintenance buildings are knee high in weeds. Sandpits are more like trash pits. Very little sand but lots of leaves and debris. Lost about 6 balls. Several even in the fairway due to the grass being so high. The greens had several dead bald spots. A shame there is not a manager that could get this course in playing shape. Oklahoma State Park this course is not OK!!!!!

Fountainhead has a very nice layout and a new Manager who is slowly tackling the overdue issues and concerns around the course. The greens are in awful shape, some fairways will knock the tires off your cart due to holes ir loss of topsoil and grass. This course can and will be phenomenal in the future, the investment and effort just need to be there.

Played the golf course while staying at the state park.. If you are expecting CC facilities then your in the wrong place however, layout is fun, greens are ok and run well and price is fine! Fairways and most everything was well manicured but 90 percent broadleaf and weeds. Could the course be better kept? Yes, however as I stated, for the price and just a get away I really enjoyed my 18 holes.

This course is in very bad shape. The fairway and greens are full of weeds. The ball would wobble through the green when putted. The cart pathways were also rough and need repair. Was hoping the Creek Nation would make this a nice course.

Fountainhead hired a new GM and he is doing his best to turn things around. The staff is now courteous and the course looks great. The new greens are holding up nicely and they are clearing a lot of the of scrub brush from the course and remodeling the club house. The course looks great and plays great. They are actively marketing the course (bringing in local HS teams, creating a women's group, etc). I'm glad I went back and you will be too. Time to stop saying you are working to correct the issues with this course. (your not). Horrible conditions, terrible from tee to green. It's been 4 yrs and it's only gotten worse! I'll rent my pasture to anyone who wants to play, you'll have a much better time.

I had read many negative reviews and was concerned, but after arriving they were quickly dismissed. Its not all the way back to its former Glory; “Yet” but while we were there the fairways were being mowed, we saw 3 different people doing property maintenance and the staff was extremely helpful and courteous we will continue to go back, the date 10/13/2020 a by next year I expect it will be as good as it ever was
