In summary

French River Golf Course is appreciated for its relaxed atmosphere, scenic views, and affordability, making it an ideal spot for beginners and families. Many visitors enjoy the open layout and the opportunity to play without the pressure of crowded courses. However, some golfers have noted that the course conditions, particularly the greens and fairways, could be better maintained, and there have been occasional reports of unresponsive customer service.

This was a surprisingly awesome place to play a round of golf away from the wannabes and the snooty golfing crowd that is so often evident. Too bad Linda Dushcene only played two holes. Once you pass the second hole the vistas open before you and you’re literally taken back to a time when golf courses demanded accuracy and shot making. Reminiscent of golf when we were kids when it was for fun. My girlfriend is just learning the game and this place was perfect because there weren’t groups of impatient golfers trying to complete the course in record time. We had a wonderful time playing, laughin…

It's a farmer's course that is well kept. We didn't need to book ahead and had the whole place to ourselves. It had great views and was wide open.

Views are great , not greatly maintained with weeds and higher grass. Good family golf experience. My only complaints would be we got rained out big time 3 holes in and had to stop. Maybe an offer to come back and finish the next day could have been in order as we paid about 120$ for 1/2 hour. Also only one ball per player not good as inexperience and kids will inevitably lose one.

Absolutely the worst course I have ever played on. I’m sure there will be a comment about this just being my opinion, but it isn’t just an opinion. It is a fact. Played there in July and was sorry we did. Couldn’t tell where the green began and the fairway ended. Pic is one of the greens. Not trimmed and weeds everywhere. I know there was also a comment about not using chemicals on the weeds but there is no excuse for not keeping the greens in shape, and the bunkers foliage free.

Very disappointed with this course. Fairways not mowed...more like rough. Greens full of weeds....never seen anything like it. No yardage markers...one tee box...difficult to find and not mowed. No yardage markers. We expected it not to be great because of the price point, however it was so bad, we stopped playing after two holes. The real disappointing part was after politely giving feedback as to why we stopped playing, the owner/or person who checked us in and took our money, was very rude and very unreceptive to any feedback. A disappointing experience and would never recommend this course…

French River golf course is where you go to "learn" how to play golf, or if you wanted to take the gran-kids to teach them. Reason being is because of it's casual, laid back course atmosphere. The course has been open for 20 years and advertises it usually opens April 1. Green fees are $20. Expect weeds, a fieldy surface but none who plays there minds. BTW, the view is second to none. That I can guarantee! 10/10 would recommend.

The quality of the course isn't top notch however the views are spectacular. Our 5some had a blast and we were the only ones out. A completely relaxed round of fun.

$30 for a round of golf. People pay that just for the views you get there. Do yourself a favor and golf this course. For the price it's worth it. Personally 15 is my favorite.

Fun course, especially for beginners. Very open except for two holes. Greens are rough, but for the price is worth it.
