Furnace Creek Resort

Nice experience playing below sea level but the course is in rough shape. I was only able to play the back nine. So I decided to play it twice to get 18 holes and they gave me a discount green fee. Ok that works until… Once I get to the 1st green at the 10hole. I was very disappointed. The greens were not playable. There were dirt patches and uneven grass. They were hard as a rock! The ball would not hold the line. I got so bad I decided to not even putt on the greens. Very disappointing for a very unique golf course!

Shockingly nice course! People staffing the pro-shop are great. Wish they would stock some DEATH hats or something to play with the fact it’s in Death Valley.

Layout was great but the conditions of most the greens were tore up. At the turn I thought I could numb the disappointment of paying $89 for the round by getting a beer but they do not sell alcohol 🙃. It’s gonna piss the family off because of the driving time but go play in Nevada.

I played in March 2026 and the course was in very good shape. The fairways all had nice green turf. The greens were is good shape; there was only one green where the grass was burned out and replaced with sand while they tried to recover the green. Overall, the layout is uneventful. The course has a surprising amount of vegetation and a lake. I went to the Park for one night primarily to play this course and I was glad I went. Traveling from North Carolina and had Wonderful round. I was able to tee off at 6:11 and played in a little less than two hours. Impressive greens and course conditions in the hot summer! Shot 69 and had a blast! Will definitely be back if I can. The golf pro was very kind and helpful and the pro shop has tons of great swag.

Considering the conditions, the course is in great shape. I’ve played there twice in the late Spring (first week of May) and it was pushing 100 degrees! They let my Ma ride in the cart and I don’t think they even charged us (though it was pretty slow). Obviously take all hot weather precautions- even in a cart your body will be stressed!

July..we teed off at 6:30am..100 degrees already.. there were only 3 other people on the course that day. Last tee time is 10:30am because it gets too hot. We drank 5 waters each for the 18 holes..took 3 hours. The course was nice..it's the lowest elevation course in the world. Well worth the effort to play.

We played on Christmas Day. The staff was so nice and accommodating, even though the resort just lost power. This was one of the most unique and scenic courses I’ve played. Highly recommend.

Play 9 holes below sea level before a full day of sightseeing and hiking ~ yep I'm IN!! We made sure to grab our morning tee time prior to leaving for our Death Valley getaway. Had a total blast with my hubby & our best friends on this beautiful course!! I’m in LOVE with the trees, the background scenery...the entire setting! Officially one of my new favorite courses! We will be back!!

Pool is mega crazy, natural hot water from the desert i love it. Golf course is rad with beautiful views and a surreal feeling. Apparently its the lowest existing golf course beneath sea level. An absolute must when driving through Death Valley. Make sure you take a chill and stock up here before heading to Sand Flats and continue down route 99!
