In summary

Gatlinburg Municipal Golf Club is praised for its beautiful mountain setting, challenging layout, and well-maintained facilities, including deluxe golf carts with GPS and Bluetooth. Many visitors appreciate the friendly and welcoming staff, as well as the stunning views and unique course design. However, some golfers have noted issues with the greens' condition and the "cart path only" policy during off-season, which can make the course more challenging to navigate. Additionally, while most experiences are positive, a few visitors reported dissatisfaction with staff attitudes and course maintenance.

Beautiful golf course! The golf carts had gps and Bluetooth radio which was very nice. They had a few bathrooms throughout the course. The people in the clubhouse were very welcoming and we enjoyed our time there.

What an amazing experience! Beautiful course, stunning views, and pretty solid greens. I was able to walk on as a single in a light drizzle with zero issues — everyone was friendly and welcoming. Even after a 3.5-hour drive, I shot a great round. On my way to Wilmington, North Carolina now, but I’ll definitely be back!

This is by far the best muni I’ve ever played! Solid clubhouse with great amenities. The staff were absolutely amazing! The course was in fantastic shape all around. Very solid tees, fairways and greens. And you really can’t beat the views!

You might not always take your clubs on vacation but you’ll be glad you did in Gatlinburg. They offer a uniquely scenic course that offers a quintessential mountain golf experience in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. It’s neatly landscaped and has meticulously maintained bentgrass greens. Despite its name, the course is actually located in Pigeon Forge, right next to Dollywood. It offers some dramatic elevation changes for a challenging game. Great pro shop too. We loved it. I’m only giving it 4 stars because in the off season the course is cart path only. Walking up hill and across the…

The course was a mess . Fresh aeration on the greens they were covered in sand you couldn't even put. The course is very hard definitely not for a beginner plan on bringing a lot of balls .

Fun mountain course! Played 18 March 2025 so grass was still dormant and half the holes cart path only. Very clean and beautiful facility. Bathrooms on both backside with a water fill station on the front. Club House is very pretty with a great menu. Carts are very deluxe with a GPS and speakers. The hills are no joke including the winding, steep cart paths. Hole 12 is crazy with 1200ft elevation. Very fun!

First trip to Tennessee to golf. Looked up reviews online of places to checkout, and came across this track. I’m sure glad I did! This is a great track with a bunch of challenging holes. There is no course like this one! Had a blast playing here and will definitely be coming back! The only gripe is it was cart path only

It was such a beautiful golf course- brilliantly designed throughout the hills and valleys of the mountains! The staff were friendly and informative. Plenty of parking. They have electric golf carts that change how fast you can go depending on where you’re driving throughout the course. There is an interactive screen in the golf cart that tells you how many yards from the tee box to the hole, what hole you’re on and the speed you are going. The cart path was a bit torn up in a few places and could need some fixing though.

Wonderful course and quite challenging! The greens are in great shape and grounds were beautiful. Hole 12.... what can we say but wow! Several holes are cart path only and walking up and down hills to your ball can be difficult, especially if you're retirement age like my husband and I. But we loved it and will be back!

Fun course, interesting layout and design. It was VERY crowded on a Thursday end of April, but nice facilities and course overall.

This was our first time to play here. I only have 2 complaints. Only have nets to hit into if want to warm up and the greens looked a little rough in spots but I never had a putt that was affected by any of those spots. It’s a fun and challenging layout. Long fairways are very narrow and the rough is unpredictable. Your ball can settle down or it can stay up a little. Very tough out of rough if can’t keep it in the fairway. A couple holes you can think hit good shot and the slope can carry it out of fairway. 10 is a fun hole. Should hit an iron but I went with driver, chanced it and just playe…
