Ruggles Ferry Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, friendly staff, and scenic setting, offering a mix of challenging and forgiving holes that appeal to a range of golfers. The course is noted for its affordability and good condition, although some visitors mention issues with pace of play and occasional lapses in player etiquette, such as unfixed ball marks and unraked bunkers. This was the first time I’ve ever played this course and think this is a good track overall but it has it’s issues. The staff were all nice and very professional. The practice area is in good condition, both putting and driving range. A bucket of large balls is 6 bucks, which you hit off a grass range. The course isn’t very long but does make up for difficulty elsewhere like challenging greens, water, and narrower fairways. The course has a fun layout, on both front and back 9s, however, I do prefer the back, which is more challenging as well. There’s also something Ive never seen on a golf…

My son, Carter, went fishing with the cub scouts on Saturday! He didn't catch anything, but he had a great time! Also, he is selling popcorn if anyone is interested!!

Friendly staff. Excellent greens even though they had been punched a week and half earlier. Some fairways had repair areas but then again this is September. The rates are also very affordable. (No Photos).

Nice course, one of the nicer public courses in Knoxville. Fairly challenging layout, I've played 4 or 5 times now and it's usually in pretty good condition overall.

Good little golf course. However one rude employee can ruin a place! When a twosome skips one hole to get in front of two foursomes to speed up play for basically everyone, it’s not a good idea to give them an unnecessary lecture and interrupt their golf game. This cocky employee has now cost Ruggles 200-400 dollars a week! I understand that is just a drop in the pan, but I will never be back again!

Fantastic course in great shape, staff was extremely friendly. Would definitely return. Course is pretty wide open so it’s a bit forgiving in that sense, not a lot of water.

Ruggles Ferry Golf Course is a relatively nice course with a few challenging shots, but most holes are pretty straightforward. The driving range is a nice feature, though it’s missing distance markers, which makes it tough to practice accurately. The food is limited to some handmade sandwiches, but they were pretty good—just be aware the kitchen closes early; it was already shut down when we made the turn around 3 PM. Also, no alcohol is sold on-site, which might be a downside for some. Still, it's a decent spot for a casual round.

Course is in great shape and staff was very friendly. Greens were fast but just enough to be challenging and looked beautiful. Definitely enjoy every trip out here and recommend it.

Fun course. Wish they had a bucket for the aeration waste, but otherwise a pleasant experience with beautiful views.
