In summary

Whittle Springs Golf Club is appreciated for its affordability and well-maintained greens, with many finding the course layout enjoyable and the staff friendly and helpful. The course offers a challenging play with fast greens and fun elevation changes, though some visitors mention issues with the fairways' condition and occasional slow pace of play. While the amenities like golf carts and the driving range receive positive feedback, some facilities, such as the bathrooms, could use improvement.

We just played All 18, Course was hard as a rock even on the tee boxes , The par 3.'s are mat only and are a not forgiving at all to play from . Imagine cheap turf carpet laid over hard packed Clay . Also there was no mention of punched greens in the clubhouse nor a lower price offered , The Cheap hot dogs an beer only make up for so much . The staff was friendly and had multiple bathroom options which is great when the group in front takes 30 minutes to play a par 3 . I don't Think it was a timing thing or because we played Friday that effected the conditions of play or grounds keeping as the…

Tempted not to write a review so other people don’t find this place. *For the price* you cannot beat this course. - excellent tee boxes - smooth, quick greens and nice grass around the greens - fun elevation changes It isn’t a country club but they put their money where it matters on the tee boxes and greens. It makes for a really enjoyable experience even if the fairways aren’t in great shape on some holes. I’ll make that trade every day of the week at this price point. Will definitely be returning.

It is what it is…. It’s a public course thats cheap and you get what you pay for….. It’s hilly and the greens are to fast….The people working there are super nice and helpful… It has a self service driving range and you will understand when they explain it…

Really a decent course still kept in shape nicely. The service though is 5 stars because the guy who was working at the till was really friendly and helped us out💯

This course is NOT senior friendly...way too many LONG par 4s and 5s. When the greens are running fast, a PGA player would have a tough time controlling speed.

Whittle Springs is a solid municipal course that’s well-kept and offers a decent challenge without being overly punishing. Most holes are straight and manageable in length, but there’s one dogleg that adds some fun strategy—go for it or play it safe. The driving range is a great perk for warming up, and the golf carts run smoothly. What really stands out is how little wait time there’s been both times I’ve played here—that’s a rare win for a muni. The only downside is the lack of shade, so bring your sun protection. My biggest gripe? The 19th hole. The clubhouse is pretty standard for a muni…

One of my favorite courses. It could use some grass in some areas. A lot of dirt patches. The greens are great though.

Great local course with great golf carts. Greens are well maintained, and the staff is very helpful. You may have a golfer in your fairway occasionally. But this is a great course.

The course is wide open with no sand bunkers, and plays less than 5,900 yards. It is challenging with small, fast greens. The greens are probably some of the best I have played in Knoxville. I would recommend playing this course.

Great course, clean facilities, nice people. Met a guy named Brad who couldn’t have been nicer and gave us some pointers and really made us feel welcome. Definitely gonna make this my new favorite course because of how cool he was. Pricing is a steal too.
