Knoxville Municipal Golf Course

I really like this golf course! It’s challenging, yet very playable. The present management is working hard to make even more improvements on the course. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They know you by name and make efforts to improve your experience there. It’s not a super long course and it fits my golf game pretty well. I play from the senior tees and have a senior membership. It’s affordable and I enjoy walking the course when I play. I would definitely recommend this course!

Other golfers were very impatient! We couldn’t go anywhere, yet we were being yelled and ridiculed from behind. Honestly, this course could be a very good course, but it lacks good tee boxes. Course was fairly fun, but having people on your tail doing that really killed the vibe. Everyone (except the person at the snack station) seemed to be in a poor mood. This course needs a course marshall so we could have resolved issue. Also needs better tee boxes. I’d be happy to play $10 more to have a Marshall present (and give better stars). We had a great time playing 9 today. The staff was great renting us two sets of clubs and the beer was ice cold and reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend for anyone hoping for a fun and relaxing afternoon.

For a municipal course it’s actually pretty nice. It’s usually right around 30 bucks for 18 holes with a cart. The food is cheap and tastes good, the greens are in good shape. Fairways aren’t too bad either

I don’t know if I could imagine a worse golf experience. Course was in horrible shape, most tea boxes didn’t even have grass. There was no starter so it was free for all trying to get started. The “members” completely ruined this experience as well. Yelling at people for no reason and telling us how bad we are. Absolutely horrible behavior from the members, we will never return because of them. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Love this course. I'm honestly a terrible player, but I usually hit some of my best shots here. Except hole #9 I think it is, with the water in front of the green. Make a preacher have to repent right there. Other than that, it's awesome!

Fairways are in great shape. Greens have many divots marks, some of which can effect ball path. New electric carts are fantastic and they do not have GPS which I think is better, IMO. Overall, much better conditions that past years.

The course did not appear to be in very good shape. Lots of dead spots visible from the club house. Had plenty of carts but I was told I would have to walk since one of our 4 some brought his girlfriend. I decided not to play and as I was leaving saw 2 single riders in carts. Never have we had such a horrible experience and we golf all over Knoxville without any issues. Will never go back.

Made a reservation with their reservation line and told them we had a rider, we’d need two carts when we arrived they told us they didn’t have enough carts and to not use to reservation line. How is that our fault, that we used your service YOU provide. There was no effort to make it right.

Played here for my first time this past weekend, and really enjoyed it. Staff was nice and helpful, and the course was in good condition for the most part. Some of the greens were a little heavy with sand but not so bad to ruin the day. And the price is hard to beat nowadays. I will definitely be back!

I have never been to a worse golf course in my entire life. This course is an absolute joke. Not unkept at all. If this was the only course I was able to play on for the rest of my life I’d completely quit golf. If I was able to give zero starts I would.

In from Houston and had some time to kill. Found this gem and went to play. #1 It is a municipal course, not Augusta National. #2 Sam, working the pro shop, was very courteous and friendly. #3 The course itself was in decent shape. A few patches around the course, but hey, it's fine. The greens are generally in good shape. However, I realized any issue with the greens is not a maintenance issue, but rather inexperienced players who don't know how to walk on a green or treat the putting surface.
