What People Say

In summary

Centennial Golf Club is praised for its scenic and challenging layout, with many enjoying the lush fairways and well-maintained greens. The course's GPS-equipped carts and friendly staff, particularly in the Pro Shop, enhance the experience. However, some visitors have reported issues with the condition of tee boxes and greens, as well as concerns about unfriendly clubhouse staff and the functionality of the GPS system in the carts.

Great course, great people, great food. It’s in much better shape now

The golf course is very challenging and very hilly. I played terrible, but that is not the golf course’s fault. This is one of the most beautiful, scenic courses in East Tennessee. We also love the golf carts, which have the GPS technology built into the screens . We had a great time. Also, thank you to Ed - Who gave us great advice off the first tee. Super nice guy.

Course is decently nice. Old man working in the clubhouse was a complete jerk. Chewed my group out for checking in 10 minutes before our tee time because that was too late for him. Cursed at me when I told him to stop being disrespectful. Wont be back !

Course was beautiful. Greens in great shape. Challenging but not hard… cannot wait to return and golf again.

A terrain course is how I would describe this course. A lot of hills and uneven terrain in the fairway. Playabke from all areas. Tee boxes were a little rough buy greens made up for it. The same as the fairway to rough. Love the carts and the screens with bluetooth feature was awesome helos keep the pace if you dont have a range finder. Good course overall.

As has already been pointed out, the course is in bad shape. Tee boxes and greens are very tired up. Also their "smart" carts are really awful. Really invasive and somehow the negative highlight of the round. Three different times when driving on the cart path, the cart stopped and said we were in an unauthorized area. I complained about it at the club house. They said, "Oh yeah, that's the GPS." I said, "I know it's the GPS, I'm saying some needs to be done about it." Then they said, it's because of the heat. It messes with the GPS. I guess it makes sense why they have so many tee times avail…

Challenging golf especially when cart path only are enforced. Nice greens and good faraway. Tees are worn.

We played here while visiting my daughter at UT. The course is really fun with some great elevation changes. There a few really tight, tough holes but also several wide open ones on the back nine. The people were great and the food is awesome (get the breakfast burrito!). It was November 1, so fairways and rough were brown, but greens were still pretty decent. I’d love to play in summer time. For under 50 bucks, a great deal!

DO NOT waste your money at this run down course. The tee boxes are trashed and most of the fringe areas are all complete mud/dirt and are in desperate need of repair. What a waste of 60 bucks. There are too many good courses in the area to ever go back to this place. Clubhouse staff also needs some training on how to be kind. So rude.

Writing on behalf of my husband. Horrible service provided by representative. The lady at the front desk is rude & has no manners. My husband was 2 minutes early & she chewed him out for being late at 7:43 in the morning. Golf course is run down and not worth it regardless.

Greens were pretty beat up, people haven't been fixing their divots. A few of the holes and are gimmicky and few greens are just a bit much in terms of undulation. Other than a few situations, it's a nice layout and decently maintained.

Today was my last round at this course! The clubhouse staff are not a bit friendly. You walk in and they make you feel like you are bothering them. No one greets you, even though there always seems to be three to four people standing there. If you get really lucky one of them might make eye contact. There is a younger guy that always seems to be there, (in the last 2 to 3 years I've visited) with longer hair and a beard who is very smug. He must have family that works there, otherwise I'm not sure how he's lasted this long. The course itself is a fun layout, but not worth 40+ bucks imo. Many o…
