Gene Pray was my grandfather. I played this course quite a few times in the late 70s, on a visit from Virginia with my parents. I was 10 at the time. Obviously the course had a different name then, but I can't recall it. My grandfather was still alive, I believe he was mayor of the town, or the ex-mayor. I just remember the course had sand/oil "greens," the first and only time I played on that surface. I can still recall the smell of those oiled greens today, almost 50 years later. Service was very friendly and helpfull. Although not much Equilment at the pro shop, otherwise i would have rated higher. The course is well maintained, some of the nicest greens ive seen.

Fun for the 5.5 year old and the 50 something year old. Old fashioned swings and jungle gyms the golf course is beautiful.
