In summary

Glendale Golf & Country Club is frequently praised for its picturesque setting, well-maintained greens, and challenging layout that requires strategic play. The staff is often described as friendly and helpful, and the clubhouse amenities, including the patio, are well-regarded. However, some visitors have noted that certain fairways and tee boxes could benefit from better maintenance, and there are occasional concerns about the lack of directional signage and safety on steep paths.

I’ve never actually played here… but as someone who lives directly across the street and gets to enjoy the view every day, I can confidently say this place is immaculate. The grass is so well maintained it looks like it has its own personal trainer. The clubhouse? Stunning. The vibes? Elite. The lawn mowing schedule alone deserves a standing ovation. Spoke with Ashley once in the clubhouse because I was looking to buy a new driver. She was wonderful and very helpful. From what I can see (which is a lot), this is clearly a top-tier operation run by people who take extreme pride in perfection.…

Had an invite last Friday from a good friend. First time playing the course and it was absolutely stellar. The practice facility although didn’t have a full range the practice green and chipping areas are fantastic. Upon arrival I was greeted and welcomed instantly. Entering the club house it was very clean and tidy, friendly front desk staff and very welcoming. I highly recommend Glendale, challenging but fun course. Can’t wait to be back

Course is a very picturesque parkland layout. Well worth a visit if you get the opportunity. Holes have real variety with some spectacular views of the lake and the Toronto skyline in the distance. Greens are excellent, slick, but tough to read given how the course is built into the side of the escarpment. The course is fair and requires you to plot your way around. Don’t assume the shorter 6400 yards makes it easy. Driver is often not the club of choice and the greens protect the course nicely and requiring maximum attention. If you are walking the elevation changes will test your fitness…

Super nice course. Greens were unreasonably tough with ball rolling off the greens if it did not hit the hole. Practice greens were great with a decent practice net. Food was OK. Beer selection was poor.

I’ve played this course several times over the last 2 years. The course is typically in good shape with some interesting holes and some of the most deceiving greens in the area. They are small, quick, and appear flat but have subtle and gradual slopes on most. I am writing this review only after playing most recently in early Oct 2021. Fairways were in terrible shape and indistinguishable from the rough, making it difficult to find your ball even in the fairway. Balls in the rough were almost never found. Tee boxes were also in rough shape. I’m not sure if this was a one-off due to some of t…

2 months ago was my first time playing golf here. The fairways, greens, etc. are well maintained. I think it will be a very fun place once I get used to it. This is a club link, but the disappointing thing is that there is no distance information for the holes. Also, there was no direction sign to the next hole, so I was very confused. Also, the road is steep, so a caution warning sign is needed. Also, the road is dangerous. If these things are fixed soon, I think it will be a very good place. Thank you. I played golf here for the second time on July 22nd. 2025. However, some roads are still v…

Nice course in great shape. It is a club link course so you need a membership or go with someone that is a member. A bit tight on some holes and tough greens to read. Just remember, everything breaks away from the escarpment 😉

Great course. Great shape. Nice surprise and a little funky layout. But I really enjoyed the course. Greens were great shape and they are heavily influenced by the escarpment..

One of the best golf courses in the Hamilton/Halton region. Private club, but accessible through Clublink Players Club

The staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Amenities such as Clubhouse, proshop and practice area were all terrific as well as the patio overlooking the 18th green. The course itself was somewhat disappointing though. Short, older course with a nice layout, some great scenery and some interesting holes that require a variety of shots. That being said, considering it's a private course, I expected it to be much better manicured than it was. Both the fairways and tee boxes were torn up and lacked much grass. Not sure that is a result of dry weather or disease but it definitely neede…
