In summary

Glenway Municipal Golf Club is praised for its recent renovations, which have enhanced the course's appeal with undulating greens and a well-maintained layout that caters to both beginners and experienced golfers. The course is noted for its unique design and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice among locals and visitors alike. However, some golfers have expressed concerns about slow pace of play and occasional issues with staff professionalism, as well as the limited amenities in the clubhouse.

Visited town and this was a truly delightful round of golf. The course design (undulating greens, open fairways) makes it interesting for more experienced players while also very playable for beginners. You're gonna have fun while also rarely losing a golf ball. Course conditions were also great. Pace of play was good for a holiday morning, got around in 1:40. Although I can't speak to other courses in the city, this place is a gem and I wish each city in the US had a course like this.

Fun little track to get your golf fix. Holes are all unique and challenging. Nice elevation changes and fairways and greens in great shape on a weekday July morning. Perfect for getting a quick round in before work. **Update: new renovations open up the course a little bit and bring an update vibe to the park. Putting course is neat and a good challenge. Love the new green complexes...overall a worthy improvement.**

What a great change to the course with the new greens. Always busy and lots of kinds of golfers. The practice green is awesome and fun to play.

As someone who’s been golfing for barely a year, I love it here! The courses aren’t too long, and games can go super fast! Just gotta be careful on the first hole you don’t shank it right into a car! I may never beat the guys in 9 holes, but I’ll be going with them every game!

Great new overhaul by the Kaiser brothers of Sand Valley fame. A short, fun par 32 with excellent bunkering and large, undulating greens. The greens need a year or so to mature and quicken up but otherwise the new design is fantastic and it’s a great value. Will be back many more times.

We enjoy the new Glen. Course is in great shape, greens are interesting and fast. The upgrades are very nice. Clubhouse is nicely redone.

A good executive Par 3 with some longer, more challenging holes. A hilly course, which is great exercise for walking; they have carts too for those who need them.

I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone serious about golfing. There are constant distractions with roads and cars in sight, and it’s loud. There’s no designated tee box for women, no clear yardage markers, and the layout of the holes is so cramped that it feels like you’re always at risk of hitting other players. To top it off, the staff was extremely unprofessional, treating us poorly just because we’re college students. All of this for almost $40? Definitely not worth it—find a better place to play.

Great little course with huge greens! Very reasonably priced. Would definitely play there again!

pace of play is the worst I’ve ever seen. It’s not even the golf etiquette that’s awful from everyone who plays here but it’s common sense. Countless times I’ve seen a person walk over into the fairway on the hole my group is in and just grab whatever balls they see. Idk who the pro is here but they don’t monitor the youth kids here at all either. This could be a cool nine hole course but the type of golfers you see here will keep me away.

I recently played at Glenway Golf Course and was extremely disappointed with the entire experience. The customer service was absolutely horrible - the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and seemed annoyed to be there. The course conditions were equally terrible, with poorly maintained fairways, greens that were in terrible shape, and bunkers that hadn't been raked in weeks. To make matters worse, the pricing was outrageous for such a poorly maintained course. I would not recommend this course to anyone, and I certainly won't be back. Save your money and play elsewhere where you'll be treated…
