In summary

Gold Hills Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout, and friendly staff, contributing to a positive golfing experience. The club offers a range of amenities, including a full driving range and a dining area with a well-received menu. However, some visitors have noted issues such as slow pace of play, occasional maintenance disruptions, and the condition of the ponds, which detract from the overall experience for a few.

Probably the best greens in the north state for a public course. Super friendly staff and bartenders. Their maintenance team is top notch and always keeps the golfer in mind. Pin placement is great!! This place feels like a good ol boy course, where you will feel like family from the very first day!! Definitely consider giving it a shot!

Had the lunch special. 2 Mahi tacos. Well done taco. Tortillas stayed together and a great sweet chilli sauce. I'd get those again.

Nice Golf Course, but the older man working in the pro shop was the rudest person I have ever dealt with at a golf course. Will not return to this golf course ever again because of this man. I will spend my money at every other course before I consider returning here. I preach respect to my teenage kids who love golf and then to watch this man disrespect me and them for no reason was uncalled for.

Really good golf course. I would say the greens are the highlight as they are some of the best I’ve seen on a public course in Redding. Also, they have a good price for “all you can hit” at the range which is nice to use.

Very friendly staff and a great pause while traveling. We parked our RV next to the chipping range and enjoyed the peace and beauty that surrounded us.

This course is in awful shape. The layout is actually decent, but this place needs a major makeover. This course just might be the goat of all goat tracks. If you're wanting a course with lush fairways and well groomed greens, you 100% will not find those here.

This was my very first time ever playing golf. Definitely need a great deal of practice. Overall....customer service was good. They were very understanding when it came to me not knowing course etiquette. Beautiful grounds. Definitely enjoyed it. Dont know if I'd return only because I was awful at it.

This is a very challenging golf course, I have been a member for almost a year now, and I'm not bored with the course layout at all. The only issues I do have is they put on a lot of golf events, so it closes the couse for that day. The other issue is speed of play I have left in the middle of my rounds due to having to wait 5 minutes on tee boxes and every shot after that, it gets very frustrating. The staff is AMAZING, the food is EXCELLENT at the club house. Overall I'm happy, no other golf couse (public) in Redding is in better shape that I could go to.

Gold hills is, bar none, the nicest 18 hole course in Redding, CA. Full driving range, well maintained, and beautifully executed. Beyond that, the staff here is incredible. I took a set of lessons with Jeff Thomason and I couldn’t be happier. I’m new to golf so there is plenty to correct. The lessons are 30 mins long, and Jeff utilizes every second so the value is incredible. Following his direction and practicing his drills have already fixed a multitude of my bad habits, and I am super thankful for his expertise, and his ability to quickly identify exactly where a golfer could use improvemen…

Course generally was fine. Didn't have to move my ball once. Played all shots as they lied. Would not have driven there for two hours plus to play if I had known the greens were plugged. They said nothing about this when I called and made the tee time.😕

Nice coarse, but I have never seen the ponds in such poor condition, full of slime and some sort of algae, the pond near the 8th tee even has a large fallen tree in it. besides the ponds, everything else is very nice.
