In summary

The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch receives praise for its friendly and welcoming staff, particularly in the pro shop, which enhances the overall experience for many visitors. However, a significant number of reviews express dissatisfaction with the course conditions, especially the greens, which are described as being in poor repair and not reflective of the high green fees charged. Additionally, some visitors have encountered issues with certain staff members outside the pro shop and noted a slow pace of play.

Like several before me have stated, the 2 stars are given simply because of the staff. The pace of play was good once we jumped a hole in front of a guy teaching lessons on the course. Not joking..each shot was a group session with instructions followed up by balls being sprayed in every direction... which wouldn't be as bad if it weren't at the 8AM tee time! (Marshall never made an attempt to correct issue) Course was still hard pan in areas but overall not as bad as some I've played recently. Due to lack of rain, hard to blame them for that. Biggest issue is the greens! Or lack there of... T…

It is interesting the staff in the pro shop are fantastic, welcoming, attentive and have a full service attitude. I am just coming back to golfing after recently retiring and they make you feel great about the experience. I am going to rate them very high but please do be advised as follows: If you read reviews, many of the one star ratings are regarding one particular employee that works outside the pro shop. I am not going to name the individual but they are spot on. It is true that they have one person there that they should fire that works at the ball handout hut. Most of the other staff…

Today, I visited for the first time with my parents who traveled a long way to see me. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their thoughtful service truly touched our hearts. This is my parents’ first time in the United States, and during their stay, this will be the only place they visit. Thanks to the wonderful team here, they now have such a beautiful first impression of America. The detailed and caring help meant so much to us. Because of you, Cinco feels like a wonderful place to live. Thank you all for making this experience so special for my family.

12/20/25. I am very surprised (after reading some other comments and seeing things myself) that this course rates more than two stars. Staff is very nice and that's the only reason I am giving this two stars. Today, my nephew and I played. This course ABSOLUTELY is not worth $110 on the weekend or any day for that matter. At most this course is worth no more than $50 ANYDAY even if the greens were good. No pictures but take my word for it. I really don't care about the tboxes(you can always tee it up) but the fairways and greens really need to be somewhat ok. Fairways had grass but it was sooo…

Played here yesterday for the 2nd time in as many months. Both time the greens were horrendous and the practice green was closed. Random people walking around the course like it’s a park and nobody tells them anything. The pace of play was not good either and never got better from hole 1 to 18. $110 is way too much for how bad the course conditions and slow play are. Range balls are more expensive than other courses and carts have no GPS. I really like the layout but will not be returning until they fix their issues.

Cinco Ranch was the first course I played when we moved to the area in 2017. Subjectively I don't think it's a very good design. Boring and unimaginative. BUT I would say that the owners always presented the course in good condition, in particular the greens which I felt were the best in the local area. I can no longer say that. I played there yesterday (first time in about 10 months) and the condition of the greens is just deplorable. The practice green has been in some bad shape for many months, but I wasn't aware this condition existed throughout the course. The photos of a previous review…

$120 course with $20 greens. This course should be $50 maybe $60 at the most on Saturdays. Terrible condition.

For $130 weekend fee, the greens conditions were underwhelming. Several greens are covered with dead spots, looking like turf grass disease. Money is better spent elsewhere. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

$100 plus green fee and this place in a dump! The driving range has no grass, the practice green is the worst I’ve seen in a long time. The tee boxes barely have grass and the greens have major issues. Big areas of missing grass and looks like divots. With as much play as this place gets and the revenue from the driving range, you would think they would put some of that money back into the course. They need to build some mats on the range for overall wear and tear of the range. With the golf course in the kind of shape it’s in, it should cost $40 to play this goat ranch. Embarrassing! I guess…

Went here to hit the range with 3 of my buddies, then got harassed by the starter hut worker, I think his name is Milton. But we had a member in my group and the worker thought we were sharing those balls but we each had bought our own bucket yet we got harassed for it. This sucked because I was in such a good flow state that got ruined. I went from locked in to geeked. Simple mistake on the worker that got handled poorly. Lowkenuinley disappointed.

February 22, 2026. The golf course is so bad and they are charging a high green fee on the weekends to play on a crappy course with greens that look like they had gophers. There’s no grass anywhere on the fairways. It’s all dirt. I don’t know how you can take a golf course that was great six months ago and turned it into a piece of crap and I’ve has helped put the irrigation in on 15 golf courses and whoever’s The golf course superintendent is y’all got a problem

Course is in unacceptable condition. Greens in particular are in incredible state of disrepair. Your money is better spent elsewhere. $120 for a weekend tee time at Cinco is highway robbery, management should be ashamed.
