In summary

Golf Le Sorcier is frequently praised for its beautiful and well-maintained course, with a layout that offers a variety of challenging holes and stunning natural scenery. The staff is generally regarded as friendly and helpful, and the course provides a good overall value. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about mandatory cart fees, inconsistent customer service, and issues with course maintenance, such as aerated greens and malfunctioning carts.

Fun layout. Played it for the first time this weekend (mid-July) and really enjoyed my round. Played from the Blues which are not too crazy, one of the par 3s is a little long but otherwise quite manageable. There is a putting green to warm-up but no driving range. Staff were friendly and the beverage cart was seen every few holes. Would definitely recommend checking it out. Only negative is that they list the green fee as one price but then you have to pay for the mandatory cart as well...if it's mandatory just make the total the green fee...

Usually a big fan of this course, but after my experience yesterday, I am beyond disappointed. We arrive, pay 70$+ to then realize that the greens were punched. Now ive played a ton of golf and this happens. But what my buddies and I had to play through was extreme. I would not have paid 10$ to play this course had i know it would be this bad. HUGE holes, no sand, green not rolled. I can't believe i paid to play there with the greens being what they were. Even the staff working there were shocked/ashamed by the state of the greens. See images.

One of, if not Gatineau's best public course. Feels like I went to Mont Tremblant. Great customer service. Well taken care of course. Marshall's keep the pace of play quick. Always worth the drive.

I want to love this course, but I can only like it. It's a great trackwith a good variety of holes and a lot of elevation changes to make it very interesting. HOWEVER... If you play here for the first time, beware that the vast majority of greens are blind - not a lot (or any) view of the green to work with, as your approach shots are almost always blind or at least partly obstructed by hills. After a few rounds here it would be easier to figure out, but with the fact many greens are 2 or 3 tiered, and blind, it made this a real difficult challenge. Great conditions, friendly staff, and overal…

The good : really nice course. The bad : we got a cart that had the battery light flashing from the very beginning. By the 12th hole, we called to see if they could come bring us a new one as we couldn’t make it up any inclines without the cart loosing power/stalling and we were told we should be able to make it to the end with no resolution. By the 18th hole, we were pushing the cart to bring it back to the return. We went into customer service and were told nothing could be done. Extremely unremorseful and unhelpful staff.

A truly stunning course. Each hole is beautiful and woven into the natural landscape. The maintenance of the course is top notch, each hole feels hand crafted. Carts are mandatory as this is a very spread out course with lots of changes in elevation. Highly recommend this course!

Course is beautiful and in great shape. Not forgiving as the fairways are narrow and heavy brush immediately off the edge. Lots of hills, not sure if they allow you to walk it, but I wouldn't try. Only downside is we couldn't have a beer after the round, because we didn't have a reservation, hopefully this is just a covid thing and not general practice.

Good layout overall despite a few kooky holes. The greens are endulated and can be wicked fast when the course is dry.

Beautiful day of golf yesterday. However, Greens we're aerated and was not fun putting. Wish they would advise people before showing up. Sandwiches (egg salad) and their chicken wraps were delicious. Thank you Jade for your great service on the course

Extremely disappointed with my experience at the pro shop. I was overcharged for five green fees when I had already paid online for a single round. When I tried to explain, the staff were dismissive and unprofessional, refusing to listen or resolve the issue. This kind of service is unacceptable—I expect better accountability and customer care.

The only thing holding this course back is their extremely rude starters (oh and the lack of a driving range). I've played there around 10-12 times this summer and fell in love with it, but of those 10-12 times I've now had 3 negative experiences with the grouchy group of starters they have. I thought maybe it was just me but I can see others who have left reviews highlighting similar experiences. Because of that, I cant in good conscious give them my business and promote their club as a 'must play', I'll never be back. The two star rating I give is because despite the snippy starters, the re…

Service is awesome. Well organized. The food is very nice. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the first 10 greens were aerated and full of almost mud. Back nine greens were great. The course was in great shape even with all the rain we had.
