In summary

Golf Lorraine receives praise for its well-maintained greens, beautiful layout, and excellent customer service, with some visitors highlighting the challenging nature of the course and its convenient location. However, there are recurring criticisms regarding the slow pace of play, unkempt fairways and tee boxes, and inconsistent course management, which can detract from the overall experience. Despite these issues, many find the course to offer good value, particularly with special pricing options.

My buddy from Wisconsin would always boast about playing a round of golf Nick Taylor. Now imagine my excitement when I got paired up with John Daly on my Départ at Lorraine today. I was ready to crack 1 beer a hole and break the course record of a whopping 90. Now imagine my disappointment when I show up to the course, stripe a drive 300 in front of Jean Dailê and my ball’s on the rough. Except I was right down the fairway and the grass just hasn’t been cut since Quebec was a French colony. Matching up to the horrendous course conditions I paid an absurd amount for, the attendant at the pro sh…

We were 4 friends playing a 9. It was a friday of construction holiday vacay so it was packed. We were teeing off aroudn 5:20. Man inside checking us in was great. Funny and doing great despite the amount of people. The mess was outside. It was like a circus. So there was a delay, we waited a good mins to start after our time. So I do not play alot, I do not have clubs. We had 2 carts and a set on each. Not that it matters. By the 3rd hole, here we go, the marshall came. Instead of being direct, started talking about hockey sticks. Like great analogy there. We told we each paid to play. As if…

Wouldn’t recommend, took 4 hours to play 14 holes until we got rained out group in front played extraordinarily slow causing the group behind to catch up. Pacing was terrible, no Marshall on course to assist and Multiple times we were 3 groups on the same hole, one on green, one on fairway and one waiting to tee off, 11th hole fairway is practically non existent mostly roped off (water and mud). Tee boxes were full of divots and unkept. Only positive would be the greens were for the most part well kept.

The conditions of the course are beyond subpar, so much so that there is zero distinction between the rough and fairway. The man in the proshop was awfully cold and seemed like he didn’t have time to care for the people playing at the course. pace of play was terrible and the course was managed extremely poorly. 2 days ago my tee time was at 1:40 and when I got to the tee at 1:40 I was told that I had missed my time , seeing as the 1:40 time teed of at 1:30. Don’t come here

Never played Lorraine golf course before Wednesday. I was invited to play and was excited about it. Our tee time 4:08 when we got to the tee, there were four foursome waiting to tee off. It took 2 and 1/2 hours to play the short front nine. Then on the 15th, the Marshall came up to us and told us this is your last hole, the sun is setting. Terrible management of a golf course. They had 344 players that day. Way too many, their only objective was cashing in, not the golfers playing and enjoying the experience of the course.

Well-groomed, beautiful golf club. Always impeccable! Beautiful club house and amazing food! One of the best golf courses in Quebec, we are so lucky to have it right by our backyard!

Other than tee box, the course is in great shape. Sand traps are filled with very hard/dense sand, making it difficult to blast out but easy to chip out. The bridges crossing water, particularly the 12th hole bridge, are spectacular. I want to bring a picnic lunch sit by the bridge and relax at the 12th hole bridge. The value/price is well worth a round. The only food available is at the 1st and at the turn 9th.

Overall, this course was great! The staff is amazing and it shows throughout each hole. A bit of hazards here and there, not enough to throw you off though. I would go back again.

Jean and his team are great. Course is in excellent shape. Rough and hazards have been cleaned up so you are still penalized but higher handicappers have fun.

Need to drop your high rating for no reason. I will give it to you the greens immaculate but that is it. Tee boxes are bad. Fairways are fair, most of them just like shorter grass and hard and very bumpy. Play time too slow. Played yesterday I had to leave at hole 14. We waited on each tee box we even called to course cause there were no Marshall’s on the course and told them to come out and warns the hackers that were taking there time. Don’t tell me it’s weekend golf lol I have been playing for 30 years.

It’s O.K. depending on who you ask. If a golfer plays there all the time then they don’t know better. No other golf courses to compare to for them. I find the grass in the fairways to be thin and uneven. The golf course doesn’t seed enough. The sand bunkers are a joke, little to no sand. Or just trampled and watered down so much by the rain. They are packed hard. The greens are inconsistent and left very long, like putting on Velcro. The pricing is good and even cheeper in the afternoon. Time of play very long, very often there is no Marshal on the course. If you play Lorraine GC good luck and…
