In summary

Golf Ste-Rose is appreciated for its beautiful, challenging course and well-maintained grounds, with a convenient location near Montreal. The staff receives high marks for their professionalism and attentiveness, and the course is noted for its reasonable pricing. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the lack of a driving range and restaurant, frequent marshal interventions, and significant membership fee increases. Additionally, concerns about the management and maintenance practices, including the departure of the head groundskeeper, have been raised.

Pros. Its a beautiful course and well maintained. Lots of water and is quite challenging. Cons. Theres no driving range and no restaurant at the clubhouse only sandwiches , chips etc... Also you can only play 18 holes. No 9 hole option. 2 of us with a cart for 18 holes costed $180 which is pretty steep in my opinion. I did enjoy my round though and if youre nearby and want to play id recommend it.

Very nice golf course, reasonably priced and close to Montreal. We were very well greeted by Brandon. We're impressed with the wildlife present

I can't say enough about how much I love this course. I've played it over 30+ times probably and I keep going back because: - The course is challenging and in great shape. - It's 25 - 35 mins from most parts central Montreal. - The staff is incredible. Very attentive, professional and fun. - The price for green fees is very reasonable, It's a great place to play some casual and challenging golf at the same time. Pace of play is good. Swing easy!

It’s a nice course, I liked it. Lots of water holes here. I removed 3 stars cause the marshal followed us the whole time and kept asking us to speed up. I would accept this if we were slowing down everyone, but there was nobody behind us. Every second hole he was there. It was too much. I didn’t pay 65$ in one of my rare time off away from the kids, getting to play golf with my brothers to be harassed like this. The score was also affected because there is no restaurant here. Some sandwiches, chips and drink. I love having a bite after a round, but you can’t have that here.

I was searching for reviews on various golf courses in around the Montreal area and I stumbled on the one recently written by Mr. Philip. It seems what he says is fairly accurate from the many times that I and my group has played at Ste-Rose. In fact I contacted Miss Elaine who is the manager at Ste-Rose regarding a 2025 membership for my group and I was disappointed with her refusal to answer one very basic question I had...why such a large increase in the membership fees from 2024 to 2025? I was looking at a weekday membership and the price increase of $700 seemed excessively high. After num…

Beautiful golf course ... the round took us 4;35 minutes ...had a Marshall on our ass all day telling us to play faster even though the group behind us weren't pushing ...I guess quantity before quality

Worst public course you can play. Grass is horribly cut, tee boxes are all sand and huge patches, greens are fast yet terrible condition. Very strict and rude starter, take it easy a bit. Horrible experience, last time playing here.

It's a beautiful course, with relatively tough holes. The marshal will keep a close eye on your pace of play, so take that as you might. Very well maintained, and looking forward to playing again.

UPDATE !!!!!! Please read the following and I have an update at the end !!!!! I was a member at Ste-Rose for the past 2 years. I came with the expectations of being there for many years but my hopes have been dashed for a few reasons. The main pros of the course is that it is close to most of the population and the fairway "grass" is in excellent condition. Why do I mention the fairway "grass"? Very simple, the actual grass is excellent but unfortunately it is covered by the MASSIVE geese manure all over the fairways. Although the workers try to blow it away, it is quite irritating to get it a…

Greens need some care. They are about 4 on 10. Some are better then others but I would wait a few more weeks for them to get full and cut for the price they ask in the weekend. Grass around the greens has not been cut so it very uneven length all around. The trap have not been raked in a long time and need sand. There are better places in better shape around the north end I my opinion.

The course was in great condition summer/23. Not a long course but you have to be in the fairway as the ground crew have worked hard to make the rough a challenge to hit the green if you are off the fairway. Reception at the pro shop and 19th hole is top shelf. Marshals ensure great pace of play. Lots of water in play. Eliane and the whole team work very hard to ensure your experience is enjoyable.
