In summary

Golf St-Donat is appreciated for its beautiful mountain setting, well-maintained course, and friendly staff, with many visitors enjoying the scenic views and amenities like the restaurant. However, some guests have experienced organizational challenges, particularly with the new management, citing issues with event planning and a lack of flexibility in rules, which has affected their overall experience. Additionally, there are concerns about the pace of play and the enforcement of golf cart usage policies.

This golf course up 1.5 hrs North of Montreal is a mountain-type course with undulating fairways and greens with significant slopes. The fairways are nice and wide but provide no advantage to the rough as they is not much difference in grass length. The scenery on the back 9 is amazing and definitely worth going for. Be careful as there are many blind shots and you can inadvertently hit into other groups.

Tried organizing a tournament with the new general manager there and it was terrible. Very disorganized and poorly managed spot. Made it way too difficult to actually work with them. Wouldn’t recommend anyone trying to work with them if it’s a large group. Course conditions were good and the restaurant is a nice spot but unfortunately just far too difficult to work with

Very disappointing experience working with the new GM Annie. Hosting a golf tournament with almost 40 people and really surprised with the treatment we received. Found the whole thing to be very disorganized despite us planning several months in advance. Would not go back despite the course being lovely, this really soured the experience.

New owners who are working hard at improving customer service and experience. However, time will be needed in order to improve the quality of the course as it was not well mainained over the past few years when it was owned by the previous owner who did not invest in the upkeep of his course.

New ownership is bringing an upgrade to one of my favorites golf courses. Don't put from above the hole on 18 and the 4th hole par 5 is a potential birdie.
