Gooseberry Lake Provincial Park

Stayed during 2024 August Long weekend. Pleasantly surprised by this campground, and worth the 3.5 hour drive from Calgary. The splash park was well utilized by the kids, and they enjoyed the short hikes next to the lake. The campground manager is very friendly and genuinely seemed happy to be motoring around in the golf cart selling firewood. Happy that there were some tall trees and lots of bushes that provided shade and privacy. Only complaint would be that there’s no soap nor hand sanitizer in the bathrooms. The washrooms are all pit toilets, but were clean and didn’t smell. The campground…

Beautiful and calm. This place is a good option when you want to connect with nature. There was a variety of birds on the campground. There is no access to the lake through the campground. Splash park and playground are well maintained.

Super people that maintain the facility, Rose and Wayne do a great job! Quiet place next to a nice 9 Hole golf course. Nice people at the golf course as well. Fishing just down the road. Good sized sites, well treed... We’ll be back

It was a great campground, lots of trails and paths to explore, quiet, great playground and splash park. Site 6 was huge and nicely treed.

Nice little park, good for walking and bird watching. Good 9 hole gold course as well.

Spent 4 nights here after leaving another park due to excessive noise and this is exactly what we needed. Calm, quiet and welcoming. We loved our time here and look forward to returning. Only negative was no soap in the main bathroom to wash hands with.

Wonderful experience. Tranquil and serene. Spray Park very much needed to refresh from the hot sun 🌞.

Nice campsites. Large playground area. The water is really low.

Great spot for family camping. The splash pad was a hit. And there is a very nice playground and walking trails. Camp sites are quite private. The only slight drawback is the smell from the saline lake.

What an awesome campground! Our kids loves the spray park and playground. Not really any access to the lake. Can walk on some paths to see the lake but not cant get close. Nice a quiet park. Friendly staff. We will definitely be back!

Water is foamy and dirty around the shore...You can't even get in the lake. Camp ground is OK. Decent spray park and shower. There is a beach volleyball net, but the "sand pit" is almost as hard as rock...With prickly plants growing... Will not visit again...

Great campground away from the hustle of the urban landscape. Great place to organize for a large camping get together of family & friends. Make sure to take your golf clubs to enjoy the wonderful 9 hole golf course.
