In summary

Gordon Trent Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic setting, friendly staff, and affordable rates, making it a pleasant spot for a relaxing round of golf. The course is described as well-maintained, with lush greens and an interesting layout, though some players find it challenging due to its unique design and elevation changes. However, there are criticisms regarding the condition of the golf carts, cart paths, and tee boxes, with some players noting the course's older infrastructure and occasional slow pace of play.

Excellent golf considering the price.

Gordon Trent Golf Course is a hidden gem for golfers who enjoy a peaceful, scenic round. The course is well-maintained, with lush greens and a beautiful backdrop of woods. It's challenging enough for seasoned players but still welcoming for beginners. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making every visit enjoyable. A great spot for a relaxing day of golf! Easily accessible right off Highway 58 with plenty of parking. They often host events that support the community. 👍🏼

Husband Dewey and his teachings. He's awesome with kids, Juniors and ladies golf lessons. Trent family are good folk.

First time playing on this course. I'm not sure why some of the reviews are low... Sure this is an older course. It also used to be only nine holes. So there in lies the directions on the score card. Carts are older than some other courses. Very nice and challenging course in my opinion. One big thing player's have to understand is. This is a family ran course. Of course the greens are a little slow and sandy. It's springtime people. Even greens have to be aerated, that's where the sand comes into play. My foursome will definitely be back. My hats off to the owners!!!!

Carts are old but fast. And greens are pretty good but slow. Owner is nice, and the cats are sweet. That's where it ends. The tee boxes, well, there are no real tee boxes, just marked off (sparsely) spots on the fairway...well, actually, not really fairway, just a tad shorter cabbage than what the rest of the course is made of. Thankfully, the owner marked where to go on the score card because we'd have never found our way, going from super bumpy paved to gravel to dirt cart paths and very few signs. The setting is pretty, and if you approach this like a $27 18 holes of practice hitting from b…

Located some 26 miles east of the Highland Golf Course, could this be the perfect Anti-Primland option? Gordan Trent Golf Course is family run, totally unpretentious, low-key, and costs approximately 1/20th what a round at the Highland Course would run you. Using my Tee Time Book (I was told that I was the first person to ever use this option at the course!), I paid a whopping $11 (typically about $15 for a senior during the week) to walk this 18 hole course. Is it a championship course with lightening fast greens, immaculate fairways, and yardage markers every 25 yards? Of course not. But it…

So we were playing golf today. We got to the first hole. All you see are golf balls in the fairway. It was very hard to find our ball. I counted 31at the tees. I picked up about 15, to get them out of other people's way. They have very pretty, greens. The fairways are nice. Friendly people, you hardly ever pass others without a hello or a wave..

Wonderful course and even better staff! Even let us borrow a cooler for our drinks. Absolutely a pleasure to play. Wish I could give extra stars for the review. Go out and have a wonderful day on a quick and fun course.

Perfect short 18 hole course located in BFE. Short holes, but wide open ready for you to unleash bombs! Greens are in much better condition than they've been in years. New maintenance personnel have the course looking and playing great for a course that is that affordable.

First and last time playing playing this cow pasture. Where do I start, the dirt driveway that doubles as a parking lot, the old dry rotted house known by the locals as the club house, the limited bumpy cart paths, the old and worn golf carts, the greens the size of pool tables, the lay out if I had to guess must of been designed by a 4th grader. But hey for $20 should I have expected more? Probably not. No need to stop for this one guys, nothing to miss here.

I Love Gordon Trent for what it is! Met the daughter of the original owner a few years back had a nice conversation about her Dad's course and enjoyed the history piece she gave me about the course. As long as I play golf I will make Gordon Trent a stop. Not very challenging for long hitters but nice countryside to enjoy while playing.

Clubhouse is run down and the golf carts are one ride away from falling apart(taped together and half broken). Don’t get me started on their cart paths or crazy hole design/layout. Avoid at all costs unless you’re desperate.
