In summary

Hemlock Golf Course is praised for its scenic views, challenging layout with elevation changes, and fair pricing, making it a popular choice for golfers of all skill levels. The staff is noted for being friendly and accommodating, and the course is generally well-maintained, though some mention slow greens and tight fairways. Criticisms include occasional slow play due to lack of a starter and issues with course conditions, such as uneven maintenance and crowded fairways.

This place is a hidden gem. The course was a lot of fun, great views, the food at the turn was great, and $38 for 18 holes with a cart! I would definitely give it 5 stars if they could get some of the tomfoolery fixed that we saw today. For example, no starter so everyone started whenever which made for slow play since everyone was all stacked up. We saw a foursome all playing out of 1 bag and hitting a box of balls per hole. There was also no dress code which was odd. May seem like small things but these may stop some better golfers from coming back. However, no place is perfect and we will b…

It's a fun course but watch out if playing when it's crowded. There are golf balls flying everywhere and people constantly hitting from the wrong fairway. The course is tight and very hilly. You definitely need to be accurate or a good scrambler.

Beautiful Golf Course! I think it's 28$ for 18 holes with a Cart. 24$ for 9 holes. Every green and fairway very well maintained. Great for all skill levels. 4 big par 5's. Very little water.

This is a very unique golf course and worth the $36 green fee on a Saturday in May. It's very short, and there are lots of elevation changes, blind shots, hills, runoffs, and unexpected trouble. I didn't hate it, but the rain from previous days made around the green conditions very difficult. Number 1 issue. Greens were extremely slow. We were leaving 6 footers short. Chipping was useless because your leading edge either grabbed mud, you skulled the ball, duffed it , or hit it well, and it hit the green and just simply plopped because the greens were so spongy there was no run out. Some may li…

Beautiful course, nice paved cart paths... Would rate as 5... but, after playing there for 20+ yrs., with my ride along (NOT playing) disabled wife, who loves golf & really enjoys your course and watching the game, now charges a fee for her to ride, citing liability issues! Really???

This course used to be great. The past three times I've played there, the course has been in rough shape for the price of the fees. Yes, they've invested money into carts and the cart path, but the greens are dying and they are unevenly maintained. The course maintenance has decreased but the rates have increased. Just not worth the price to play anymore if the condition is not improved. Other courses offer rates at their current price that are in better condition, it's a shame to see such a promising golf course slide like this.

The course is ok for the money. It's a fairly short course with tight fairways and a lot of dog legs. The fairways are not very well maintained, not much grass. Makes for some extremely tight lies. Most of the tee boxes are somewhat slanted so it's a bit hard to get a good lie anywhere. It would probably be a much better course in the summer months but don't expect much right now.

Really enjoy this course and the staff is very nice. It's a little tight with lots of holes gathered together, but lots of fun. Bonus that you get a beautiful view of the Dan river. Great greens, and most of the woods are kept clear making it easier to find my poorly hit tee shots.

This was the first time that my son and I played here. We had a great time. We only play the front 9 but we will come back and play the hole course. Thanks for allowing jr golfers to play.
