Pine Knolls is great shape both greens and fairways. Only complaint is the temporary greens on #6 and #16 due to building new greens. I'm sure In the long run it will make the course better. This course has improved immensely over the years.

I love Pine Knoll. Can get crowded Friday thru Sunday like most places but pace isn't typically an issue. There's no cart girl usually or ranger strangely but that doesn't bother me. The layout is simple enough on the front and that's where you'll need to go low because the back is completely different. One green side bunker every few holes that are easy to avoid. One side of the road plays considerably flatter (front) but has some elevation changes. But the back is up down up down up down with hard to hold greens on 16 and 17 and some tee shots that require accuracy and placement. BUT THE BES…

This was basically our home course for a while. Since the new ownership the price jumped and the experience got worse. The tee times are way to close we started 20 mins past our original tee time. There’s no starter and no one making sure the pace of play is appropriate. It was fine for 35 dollars definitely not for the mid 40s it is now. Go somewhere else and enjoy it. Our tee time was 1012 we didn’t start until 1035 and they had book a 12 some then a 4 some ahead. edit: it was 4 hours and 20 mins to finish 13 holes. We got on hole 14 before we left because we saw the massive line in front o…

While the course may be nice, the guy who answers the phone is NOT. I called to see if the course was going to be open today despite the awful weather. His response..."well, we're open 'NOW', so .." It was a quick, simple question and all it required was a quick, simple answer. No reason for sarcasm.

The course is in great shape very enjoyable round of golf. The club house and diner have been updated and look great! All around enjoyable spot to play golf and have lunch.

For a course that's advertised as being for all skill levels, they're not very welcoming of young players. I called a few months ago for a tee time for myself and my sons(11 & 12). The person I spoke with told me the course wasn't a good fit and I should just take the boys to a par 3... my boys have been playing for a few years now and will be doing their 4th junior league season this coming summer.

Even though it was 30°, me and my son had an amazing time. Minus the cold. I plan on playing here any chance I get very friendly course and great for any beginner. I give it 👍👍👍

My wife and I are just completing our first year as members and we are very happy that we switched to Pine Knolls. It is a fun course with enough challenges to keep it interesting for all 18 holes. There is a new young owner that has already made some nice changes over the last 2 months and has many more changes in store. There are 2 new greens at hole 6 and hole 16 that are coming in nice. The staff; the pro shop, the grounds crew, and the restaurant/bar are great to work with. We are looking forward to our 2nd year. Come out and give Pine Knolls a chance, you won’t regret it.

We are new to golf and really enjoyed our game there. This was our second time playing at this course. The first time we just played 9 holes and today we played 18. The fairways are nice and open, the rough is long and tough. The BEST part was that I left my pitching wedge at one of the holes and someone picked it up and delivered it to the clubhouse. Honest people playing there and honest people at the clubhouse!

Fun, challenging course. They stay busy, but do a good job managing pace of play.

Challenging and fun golf course with great character and sense of community. Not going to find better value anywhere in the area. I'd absolutely become a member if I lived closer!
