What People Say

In summary

Granite Pointe at Nelson is praised for its challenging layout, scenic views, and friendly staff, making it an enjoyable experience for many golfers. The course is noted for its well-maintained greens, though some visitors have highlighted issues with overall course maintenance, including worn carts and rough areas. Additionally, the RV accommodations are basic, situated in a parking lot with limited amenities, which has led to some dissatisfaction among guests expecting more developed facilities.

Fun and challenging golf course. Dog legs and targets. Great views. The greens are on point! Rolling straight and fast. The RV situation is very basic... It is just the parking lot. But they were hospitable. I expect most of the bad reviews are because people were expecting an RV park and found a golf course parking lot. Which I didn't mind because I wasn't in Nelson because of where I was going to camp and I enjoyed the crickets and big sky for stargazing at night.

Could be a lot better than it is. Fairways were pretty good. Some rough spots throughout but all in all not that bad of a course for some of the reviews. I will say, it’s a bit odd that they either let people or they just go on the course walking there dogs in the bush line or just right on the fairway on hole 6. This happened throughout our play from hole 1-9 not something you enjoy seeing dogs relieving them selves with people walking on the grounds where your trying to hit.

I love Granite! My home away from home... We're lucky to have a course like this here in our own backyard. Always well maintained and the greens are in excellent shape. It's a fair challenge and it really makes you think. Definitely not driver and an iron every hole. If you're playing smart, you'll probably be using every club in the bag. The views are amazing and the patio has to be one of the best in town!

Very poorly maintained, poor signage, golf cart duct taped together. Avoid this course

Great course, staff are really friendly and welcoming, probably the most "chill" course I have ever been on... 30$ 6 packs, super hilly I recommend a cart.

Some really mice views. Greens were in good condition. Fairways are the opposite of flat and course could use some work. Not sure if it was worth the 80$+

What a disappointment! We had reservations for 3 spaces and thought there was a mistake when we were directed to 5 sites in a lower lot that looked like the utility/groundskeeping equipment area. The spaces were extremely narrow, side by side with curbs separating them (making them even narrower), on a deteriorating parking area surrounded by weeds. Not full hook-up either - just water/electric. When we asked the pro shop about it, they admitted their website hadn't been updated in a while so was inaccurate. Would NOT recommend!

This is a dog track. From the cart path to the carts to the stair access to tee boxes. All in dis repair. Even with the golf card 25% discount, it is an overpriced experience. Sorry but never again.

This might be the worst golf course I have played in 25 years. In poor condition including no sand in the bunkers that are overgrown with weeds. The layout might be the dumbest I have ever seen. It was $85 and I wouldn’t pay $25. It is a terrible golf course. Please don’t waste your time or money.

Beautiful location. We've golfed here before so we were looking for the same experience. The carts are old and incredibly uncomfortable considering the terrain on the back nine. The front 9 was beautiful, except the 1st hole, which is under construction (we knew that and were ok with). The back 9 saw so many dead patches and dry ground. Very disappointing. I sincerely hope that our next visit willl see some upgrades

Was lucky enough to play on a perfect September day that fully brought out the beauty of the course. Lots on elevation gain and loss, doglegs, rock outcroppings, and so on to make play challenging, but not insanely difficult. Despite some construction along the course, almost all of it was in excellent shape. Also not a snooty course, very friendly staff, but at the same time well-tended. Maybe a little spendy, but it's freaking gorgeous and really fun to play, so worth a couple extra bucks IMO.
