In summary

Great Hope Golf Course is frequently praised for its excellent course conditions, including well-maintained fairways and greens, and its challenging yet fair layout. The staff receives high marks for their friendliness and helpfulness, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While the course is considered a great value, some players mention that the greens can be slower than expected, and a few suggest bringing bug repellent due to the presence of mayflies.

I played a round last night by myself and had a great time. The course is in excellent condition and is a very good challenge. I will definitely come play this course again. The staff is very helpful and friendly as well. If you are in the area I recommend Great Hope very much!!!!

Really fun course. Pace was decent. Definitely good bang for the buck. I only wish I remembered to bring some sort of bug repellent as the may flies were numerous.

On vacation and found this course. Played 18 holes and had a blast. Fairways were in great shape. Greens were a little slower than what I am used too but they played well. I highly recommend checking this course out if you are in the area.

Nice course. Very open. Hard to lose a ball. Bermuda fairways are in great shape. Ball sits right up. Greens are in pretty good shape (18 has some disease issues) but run slow, maybe 8 or 9, which seems appropriate for a muni. Excellent value (I teed off at 2:00 and it was $44, including cart, and I played in under 2 hours). Very friendly for the better player and appealing for most players. Doesn't have the Bay views that some of the OC courses have, but condition wise and challenge wise, it's in line with the courses at OCYC and GR.

I live in central Jersey and played here during a little stay in Chincoteague. What a gem of a course! The 45 minute drive from our place was more than worth it. The fairways and greens were in great condition. - not a bad one on the course. I would pay $80 plus for a course like this up north. If you are in the area, I strongly recommend it.

Course is in great shape, especially the greens. Always a fun and challenging course to play. We ended up with a couple guys not being able to play and the pro shop was super accommodating. Great value course.

Drove in from southeastern Va, on the way to OC for the weekend. First time playing here. Super nice course. Fairways and boxes were in great condition. Greens were immaculate. Pace of play was outstanding. Staff was super helpful and friendly. If ever back in this area, will def play again.

The Caddyshack has very good food. I've had a scrapple egg n cheese sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich, and a cheese steak sub. I definitely have no problem going back for anything off of their menu.

Great course. Well maintained and great staff. Assistant Pro Mark shows plenty of patience when giving a lesson and is a good listener. Dave in the pro shop provides friendly service—always has a smile and word of encouragement. Can’t beat the prices and the overall friendliness of other golfers.

As someone who has not done regularly golf for many years and have supplemented that experience with Top Golf back in my county, I was grateful to make my return to the regular golf experience at the very well kept Great Hope Golf Course. Staff such as Dave and Justin were very welcoming and informative to me when I wanted to embrace this course in a comfortable way. My only suggestion is to have an option to not close access to the online reservation until the last available time passes by for that same day, so anyone can still reserve available slots throughout the same day of wanting to be…

HIdden gem that is worth the drive. I left Ocean City MD to check out this course. After about a 45 minute drive, I was met by a great staff and and even better course. The greens alone were worth the trip. Ended up playing 36 holes and loved every one. There are some hidden troubles so I was glad i had another shot at those holes. Played the back tees first 18 which was a good test for a 9 handicap. Moved up one for the second round and had a blast. Can't wait to return.

Great course- Very affordable 👌 excellent shape year round. Good course for the beginner golfer. Wide open tee shots mainly but nasty nasty patches of links style rough (virtually impossible to play from)mixed throughout the holes. Solid sized greens to aim for with pretty flat putting surfaces. Nothing too crazy. Highly recommend a round!
