What People Say

In summary

Greenview Country Club receives praise for its challenging and well-designed course layout, with some visitors noting improvements in the greens and clubhouse facilities. The staff, particularly during events, is often highlighted for their friendliness and hard work. However, there are recurring criticisms about the course's maintenance, including issues with the greens, tee boxes, and carts, as well as concerns about slow pace of play and pricing relative to the course condition.

We recently had a banquet there and I could not be happier with how everything turned out! The venue looked great, the food was AMAZING, and the staff were extremely friendly and hard working. Mary and Heidi do a wonderful job! We definitely will be using this venue in the future!

Who would have thought it would be so warm on Dec 31st in upstate NY 48° but couldn't resist getting out on these beautiful greens And fairways to try out my new irons as a Christmas present

Im done golfing here. Used to be one of my favorite places to golf. Nice layout, challenging enough, but if you hit a bad shot its still playable. Last 3 times I've gone, 9 holes has taken 5-6 hours because pace of play was so slow. Tonight they sent out 3 leagues, no shotgun start so the course was backed up. I could've dealt with that had I not paid to play 18. What put me over the edge was getting hit into all night long. Ive got 4 groups in front of me and God forbid someone be patient enough to let me get out of their way before sending a missile straight to where im standing while I wait…

It has really gone down hill. Use to be very nice. Greens are awful. Goose crap everywhere. Owners don't put money back into the Corse. Will never go back.

The course was in terrible condition Sept 2024. The tee boxes were hard as cement, and only ~10% grass. The greens were in the worst shape I've ever seen greens: cracked, bumpy, random deep holes, etc... Save your money, and go literally anywhere else.

Older workers are hostile and I’m not convinced they want you golfing unless you spend hundreds to be a member. They have no problem yelling at you mid swing, questioning your speed/location on the course causing an unprovoked scene. For context, we only play after 3:00 on Sundays when this course barely has players. Also, despite these people “working” they seem to play a lot of golf during their shifts. Unprofessional. The younger workers are very kind and carry this course.

I had not been to Greenview in at least 5 years. The carts were terrible and the building was a dump. So when I was asked to go to Greenview with some work friends I had very low expectations since it was one of the worst places for golf. But when I arrived, I thought I was at the wrong location because it was a beautiful building and fantastic golf carts. After playing golf we all ate outside and the food was great. Only issue we had was they need way more help. MANAGEMENT needs to have more staff to wait on people. Two ladies were working their butts off. Need more people to cook and serve f…

Pros: The course is a nice layout that requires some strategy. Cons: Overpriced for the condition that it is in. Large holes in some greens. Fairways are not much different from the rough. Updated: Played it again today and there was significant improvement from last year. The greens were in excellent shape and fast. The course plays tougher than it used to. The clubhouse has been renovated and looks nice. They just need to fix the tee boxes. Many were in rough shape.

It's been a long time since I've played here. We played the Green Valley side only because the Greenview was occupied by a corporate event. I'm not in a rush to return. I have always preferred to play the Greenview side because it has less water. I get that we've had a lot of rain leaving the fairways very wet. What I don't get is why the greens were completely open with huge patches that were closed. Very difficult to putt if you have to go around or through a section that is closed off. Several other places with holes and bare spots that were loose dirt.
