Gull Lake View Resort

I have been going to "The View" with the same group for close to 40 years. In that time our group had been treated with respect and great service. The last few years have been a bit different. In the past it was family owned. It has since been taken over by some corporate entity. We have 24 in our group and always had access to one entire building. Since the takeover we are in close quarters, separate buildings. I agree with the posts about the poor conditions of the rooms and bathrooms. Some of us use the bathrooms in the clubhouse. Our 20 man golf trip group did a 4 day 4 rounds trip at Gull Lake View Golf Resort and it was top tier. We have been to several other golf resorts in Michigan but this one clearly stands out. The courses are well manicured and staff is exceptional. Lots of on-site and nearby qaulity dining, casino not far away for evening entertainment. Private putting greens right outside the villas for practice/games well into the evening. Would recommend it to low and high handicap players, it has something for everyone.

Very nice course! EAST was challenging and very pretty. Staff are all very nice also.

To start this lengthy review, I would like to say that my friends and I had an amazing trip and would highly recommend this stay and play golf resort at Gull Lake View Golf Resort. 1. Villas: I thought that the villa was completely adequate. There is a kitchen with a fridge, a dishwasher, microwave, oven, and coffee pot. There was plenty of flat ware (plates, cups, mugs, ect). We had purchased frozen pizzas to cook, however when we started the oven – there was a lot of smoke that filled the room. Very average golf courses. Value has gone down last few years. Must have new management because they were always very laid back and fun to work with in the past but the nicest way I can put it now is the staff is not friendly at all. Been coming here annually for about 15 years with a big group but this will be the last year for me due to the staff.

Awesome time. Second year in a row for a stay and play. Even get to enjoy wildlife on the courses. We had sandhill cranes,deer, turkey and snapping turtles on course. Will definitely be back again. Great price on golf and villa combos.

Beautiful course! We had a great time, and it was well worth the price to golf. We did 9 holes on the West course.

Zach j. was an absolute superstar, he carried all of our bags and cleaned my shoes and clubs. Absolutely lovely service that frankly restored my faith in humanity.

We had an excellent long weekend of golf. We stayed in the regular villas. We played Stoatin Brae, Stonehenge South and North and the East and West courses at the resort. All were in very good condition... My only suggestion is to instruct the grounds crew when they mow the tee boxes to reinstall the markers, so you can tell what color the marker is from the cart path. I eventually started turning them throughout the round, so it would be easier for other groups that day.

Beautiful golf course. My husband loves his league golfing. Check out the website, they have places to stay on site for fun golfing with friends or a group.

Really enjoying our membership to all six of the courses. Images are from Gull Lake View East and West courses, with some of the wildlife you can enjoy while playing. All of the courses are in really good shape this year.

Gull Lake View Golf Resort is a paradise for serious golfers. Our group of 4 played all 6 courses in a 5 day span (9/7-11/2025). We played South and Stoatin Brae twice for a total of 8 rounds. We are 7 to 10 handicappers. Every course is totally different and all are in excellent condition. The tee boxes, fairways, greens, and bunkers are fantastic. The rough was tough to get out of at times depending on the course. Our group all agreed that we did not play a bad hole all week. Everything from the booking process to our final putt was professionally done and well run. No glitches what so ever.…
